Arkangel de la Muerte Tells Great Story About His Name

In an interview this week CMLL luchador Arkangel de la Muerte (The Arkangle of Death) told a story about how he came up with his name and gimmick. He said that his old name (Mr. Cid) just wasn't working for him and he was actually thinking of retiring when he got into a bad accident that put him in a coma for over a week. While in a coma he said that he saw an Angel (the Angel of Death) and when he woke up he thought that would be an awesome idea for a name and gimmick so he ran with it. He feels like the young guys in Mexico are pushing him very hard right now and thinks he may need to retire soon. He also said that he would love to go back to Japan before he retires and wants to go to Canada and help train young wrestlers.

My Thoughts

I am loving all of these Title Matches CMLL is putting out right now and they?re not just having they are crowning new Champions left and right, and we still have a potentially great Light Heavyweight Title Match (Bucanero vs. Volador) to look forward to next week! Porder Mexica continues to look strong and are undefeated at Arena Mexico. Hopefully Mistico and Mephisto's match in Japan will be made a Title Match in the coming weeks.

Dr. Wagner Jr. would be a big pickup for AAA after losing so many guys in the last few months. Billy Boy turning super-rudo is awesome and a feud with Laredo Kid should be very exciting.

NWA Mexico may want to put on a show where the NWA Title is actually defended. That's just a thought though.
