BIG BOSSMAN - FAQ
What names has he used?
Ray Traylor has had many names in his wrestling career. Big Bubba Rogers,
War Machine, Big Bossman, The Boss, The Guardian Angel, Big Bubba, and Ray
Traylor.
Is he really a former prison guard?
Yes. The claims WWF are actually true. He worked as a prison guard in Cobb
County, Georgia before he started his wrestling career.
What was with The Boss gimmick in WCW?
It was pretty much a rip-off of The Big Bossman gimmick in the WWF. When Ray
Traylor left WWF for WCW in 1993, WCW bookers just gave Traylor the exact
same gimmick as in WWF. Not long after the WCW gimmick started the WWF
threatened legal action against WCW if they didn't stop using their gimmick.
WCW stopped and changed Traylor's gimmick to The Guardian Angel.
Was he on America's Most Wanted?
No. The criminal on America's Most Wanted looked a lot like Traylor but it
wasn't him. If you really thought it was him don't feel stupid because
hundreds of fans called into the show and told them they could catch the
criminal at the arena Monday Night Raw was being held at the next night!
How did they hang Big Bossman at Wrestlemania 15?
There are two ways Traylor could pull off the stunt. The first is that the
noose on the rope could have been under his chin instead of on his throat.
The other way would be that Traylor had a hook on the back of the noose that
connected to Traylor's clothing. Also Traylor did indeed do the stunt and it was not a dummy like some people
think.
