Previewing TNA One Night Only: X-Travaganza
By: Josh Boutwell of Wrestleview.com

TNA One Night Only: X-Travaganza premieres Friday, April 5th, 2013 at 7 PM (central) and airs all month long on PPV.

Matt Bentley vs. Alex Silva vs. Christian York vs. Sam Shaw vs. Lince Dorado vs. Puma vs. Jimmy Rave
-X-Division Xscape Steel Cage Match: Matt Bentley vs. Alex Silva vs. Christian York vs. Sam Shaw vs. Lince Dorado vs. Puma vs. Jimmy Rave
Fresh off the heels of Lockdown the X-Division stars will do battle in the X-Division’s version of a Steel Cage Match, the Xscape Match. All 7 men start in the ring and it’s elimination rules (pinfall or submission) until it comes down to just 2 wrestlers left. The first man to escape the cage is the winner. Former X-Division Champion Matt Bentley (the former Michael Shane aka Shawn Michaels’ cousin) & Puma (aka TJ Perkins) are the only 3 in this match with Xscape Match experience. Michael Shane took part in the very first Xscape Match in 2005 while Puma took part in the 2nd one in 2006. Neither won it. This will be former CHIKARA star Lince Dorado’s very first TNA match while it’s Bentley, Puma, & Rave’s returns. York has been an X-Division mainstay for months since winning Gut Check while Shaw & Silva have been wrestling in OVW since winning their Gut Checks as a tag team called The GutCheckers.

Doug Williams & Kid Kash vs. Tony Nese & Rashad Cameron
-Doug Williams & Kid Kash vs. Tony Nese & Rashad Cameron
Rashad Cameron took part in the X-Division Tournament last year leading into Destination X and Tony Nese did the same in 2011 and spent the majority of 2011 as a part of the X-Division. Cameron hasn’t been in TNA since July of 2012 and Nese hasn’t been in TNA since May of 2012. They will be facing a pair of former X-Division Champions in Doug Williams and the recently released Kid Kash.

Robbie E vs. Chavo Guerrero with Joseph Park
-Robbie E vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. w/Special Ref: Joseph Park
Former X-Division Champion Robbie E will go one-on-one for the first time with one of the most decorated cruiserweights in America in 3rd generation star Chavo Guerrero Jr. with Joseph Park as the special referee. Why is Park involved in this? Other than Abyss being a former X-Division Champion I have no clue.

Ultimate X Match
-Ultimate X Match: Kenny King vs. Zema Ion vs. Rubix vs. Mason Andrews
Kenny King, Zema Ion, & Mason Andrews all took part in the last Ultimate X Match last July at Destination X which Zema won (with the X-Division Title along with it). Zema is the only one to have wrestled in more than one UX and this will be Rubix’s (aka Jigsaw) very first time in the X-Division’s signature match. Kenny King is the reigning X-Division Champion but his title is not on the line.

Bad Influence vs. Sonjay Dutt & Petey Williams
-Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels & Kazarian) vs. Sonjay Dutt & Petey Williams
The self proclaimed “Bad Influence” of TNA (Kaz & Daniels) will face off against two old school X-Division veterans in “The Playa of the Himalayas” Sonjay Dutt & “The Canadian Destroyer” Petey Williams which will be Petey’s first match in TNA since 2009. Petey, Daniels, & Kazarian are all multi-time X-Division Champions while Dutt is considered the best X-Division wrestler to never win the belt (along with Elix Skipper).

Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn
-No DQ Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn
RVD and Lynn renewed their longtime rivalry at the 2011 Destination X and then again at Bound for Glory that year, and now at One Night Only: X-Travaganza they will do so for the very last time. A rivalry that has spanned almost 15 years and 3 different companies (ECW, WWE (technically only one match), and TNA) will have it’s final chapter written in not only Lynn’s final televised match (along with his final TNA match) but quite possibly RVD’s final match in TNA as well. All restraints are being taken off the two “Hardcore Originals” as this one is will be fought under No DQ rules.

Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe
-Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe
In the Main Event two of the greatest X-Division Champions ever, Aries & Joe, will face off head to head for the first time since last years Slammiversary when the two tore the house down. Joe and Aries are arguably the two most dominant champions in X-Division history and are also two TNA stars that went from X-Division Champion to World Heavyweight Champion.
