The Final Impact

Guess who’s back?! Impact tonight was pretty average, I mean nothing was too bad but it just all felt like filler for the most part even though it should have felt big in regards to storylines.
The opening match was a fun X-Division Match but Hardy being involved was kind of random. I have to say I’m really disappointed that Kenny King is getting left out of the Ultimate X Match. That’s pretty lousy with him being involved heavily in all of the X-Division action the last two weeks. The Ultimate X should be really fun though.
Lei’D Tapa’s return was kind of random and the fans were SILENT during the whole thing, but she did come off beastly which she should. She’s obviously going to draw the Awesome Kong comparisons which is really tough for her.
The Gauntlet Match was actually pretty entertaining with the way EGO went after Magnus’ knee, especially Roode. They started it off with Magnus getting the foot up on the BME from Daniels and selling it there and then Kaz worked on it before Roode really picked it apart.
It’s great that Sting wants to put Magnus over on a big stage like BFG but I don’t know how well this is going to work. First, it’s not a real feud more like a friendly rivalry type of deal and second, because Sting is just not the guy he used to be and I don’t know how good this match can be. I keep getting the feeling that Magnus may be turning heel too in the process.
AJ and Bully had a solid back and forth promo and then Joe had a good hard hitting match with Bully.
The back and forth between Hogan and Dixie was okay but was kind of anticlimactic. I know people are bashing Dixie for her accent, but I mean that really isn’t something she can help? She’s not very good at talking though which is going to be a struggle.
Hopefully in the coming weeks they put the BFG hype into full speed.
