AAA-US Taping in August
Wrestling Observer reported that AAA plans to begin taping their US show for El Rey in August in hopes of the show debuting in September.

AAA 03/16 "Rey de Reyes '14" Plaza de Toros La Monumental Results
1) Alan Stone, Dinastia, Fabi Apache, & Pimpinela Escarlata def. Silver King, Mini Charly Manson, Sexy Star, & Mamba
2) AAA Cruiserweight Title Fatal 4-Way: Daga (c) def. Argenis, Super Fly, & Australian Suicide to retain the title!
3) AAA Latin America Title: Chessman def. Villano IV to win the vacant title!
4) Mask vs. Hair Steel Cage Match: Steve Pain lost to Fenix, Crazy Boy, Joe Lider, Nino Hamburguesa, Ultimo Gladiador, Pentagon Jr., & Eterno
5) AAA Tag Team Titles Fatal 4-Way: Angelico & Jack Evans (c) def. Psicosis & Hijo del Fantasma, Aerostar & Drago, and Demon Rocker & Machine Rocker to retain the titles!
6) Cibernetico, Electroshock, & Psycho Clown def. Jeff Jarrett, Texano Jr., & Mascara Ano 2000 Jr.
7) Rey de Reyes Torneo Finals: La Parka Jr. def. El Zorro, Perro Aguayo Jr., & Black Warrior
* NOTES *
- El Elegido was advertised for the first match but replaced by Alan Stone for unknown reasons. Pentagon Jr. came out after the match and he joined Sexy Star in attacking Fabi. He said he wouldn't rest until AAA gave he and Sexy Star their shot at the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles.
- Daga actually eliminated all three of his opponents in the Cruiserweight Title match to retain his belt. Pentagon ran out and attacked Suicide following the match.
- Blue Demon Jr. appeared in a taped video vacating the title saying that he could not be at the event due to family issues. Villano IV replaced him and had a bloody war with Chessman for the belt with Chessman coming out on top. I doubt Blue Demon will be back but then again he at least did a video to explain his no-show.
- It took almost an hour for AAA to set up the Domed Cage. Juvi was not cleared by doctors to compete due to an injury, according to AAA, so Ultimo Gladiador replaced him. Pentagon and Pain were the last two left in the cage with Pentagon beating Pain.
- Tag Titles came down to Angelico/Evans against the Rockers with the champs retaining their belts.
- Ciber hit Jarrett with a guitar to beat him in the Semi-Main.
- Rey de Reyes Finals came down to Perro and Parka with Parka getting the win and his fifth Rey de Reyes trophy. The more things change the more they stay the same. God forbid AAA attempt to elevate a new star in this tournament. Parka is 48 years old, Perro is 34 (the youngest in the finals), Zorro is 38, and Warrior is 45. Warrior was the only one in the Finals that hadn't already won the damn tournament before and Parka is the only man to win it more than once, let alone 5 times.
- Still no Sin Cara/Mistico since his debut weeks ago. So lame.

CMLL

New Documentary Based on Luna Magica In the Works
A new documentary based on the life, in the ring and out of it, on CMLL's Luna Magica has been made by a couple of American filmmakers. The documentary tells the story of Luna Magica as she tackles the world of Lucha Libre as well as battles her ex-husband over custody of her son (who is being kept from her because of the fact that she is a luchadora). It's an interesting story and the filmmakers have started a "Kickstarter" fund to try and get the film finished (it’s already be shot but the money they are raising is for post production). The kickstarter has already raised almost $8,500 of the $10,500 they are trying to reach. For more information on the film, rewards for donating, and to see the great trailer visit their kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1108690340/luchadora-a-documentary-short

Averno Teaming with Sin Cara?
This week an Indy event in Reynosa listed a card for 04/27 that will feature CMLL star teaming with El Hijo del Solitario in a tag match against Sin Cara (Mistico) and Tinieblas Jr. in the Main Event. Sin Cara and Averno are friends and were longtime rivals in CMLL, and if this match happens it will be interesting to see how CMLL reacts.

* NOTES *
- Atlantis & Euforia will meet Maximo & Rey Escorpion in the Finals of the tournament.
- Mistico II was advertised for the Main Event but Volador replaced him for unspecified reasons (Sin Cara claimed on twitter that he heard Mistico was pulled because he showed up drunk). Volador accidentally kicked Sombra in the third fall costing the tecnicos the match which caused him and Sombra to argue after the match. They challenged each other to a Mask vs. Hair Match right there and agreed, but the Lucha Commisioner said no.
