WWE is back on PPV/WWE Network with the annual “Extreme Rules” off the heels of WrestleMania last month as bitter rivalries between John Cena and Bray Wyatt, The Shield and Evolution and Daniel Bryan and Kane heat up!

PRE-SHOW MATCH
WeeLC Match
El Torito vs. Hornswoggle
As if this “feud” couldn’t be more ridiculous, now the very talented El Torito will face Hornswoggle in a “WeeLC Match.” What is that? Well, according to WWE it is a “modified TLC Match” so I’m assuming it’s going to end up being a match where they use step ladders instead of full sized ladders and I’m not kidding.

Handicap Match
Alexander Rusev vs. R-Truth & Xavier Woods
The monster Alexander Rusev has taken a liking to destroying the team of R-Truth and Xavier Woods over the last month. Now he will get the opportunity to show what he can do against both Truth and Woods. This past week things took a turn in the feud when R-Truth attacked Rusev during Rusev’s match with Woods on RAW.

WWE Divas Championship
Paige (c) vs. Tamina Snuka
New Divas Champion Paige is one of the youngest stars on the WWE roster and she won the Divas Championship on her first night with the main roster. The night after WrestleMania she pinned AJ Lee to end Lee’s historic title reign. Now she must put her belt on the line against Lee’s beastly bodyguard, Tamina Snuka in her first major title defense.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Big E (c) vs. Wade “Bad News” Barrett
The IC Champ, Big E, has had the title for over 100 days but hasn’t have very many TV title defenses, and even less actual feuds. He will get a chance to defend his title on PPV now against the winner of the recent #1 Contenders Tournament in Bad News Barrett. Barrett defeated RVD in the Finals this past week on RAW to earn his shot at becoming a 4 time IC Champion.

Triple Threat Match
“Whole F’N Show” Rob Van Dam vs. “The King of Swing” Cesaro vs. “The Real American” Jack Swagger
This past Monday on RAW Cesaro cost RVD a shot at the Intercontinental Title as he helped Bad News Barrett win the #1 Contenders Tournament. This was in response to the beef that RVD got into before and after he defeated Cesaro earlier in the tournament as well as a verbal altercation he had with Cesaro’s manager Paul Heyman. Swagger and Cesar have been feuding ever since Cesaro left The Real Americans and Zeb Colter to join up with Paul Heyman. Colter attempted to recruit RVD against Cesaro but RVD turned him down saying that he does things on his own. Now the three of them will have a chance to settle all of the scores. Cesaro has been on a big roll since WrestleMania and a win over two former World Champions would be another big step in his ascension.

Steel Cage Match
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
The feud between Cena and Wyatt seemed to a conclusion at WrestleMania when Cena “overcame the odds” in defeating Wyatt, but things have only got more heated and creepy between the two. Wyatt has made it his mission to expose Cena for what he believes he truly is and make him embrace his dark side. Cena was forced to face all three members of the Wyatt Family a few weeks ago in a Handicap Match as the fans chose for him to face all three in an online vote. Things even got creepier this past week when Wyatt along with a massive children’s choir sang “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” to a shocked Cena. Can Cena once again overcome the cult like Wyatt or will he finally embrace his dark side and be exposed for the person that Wyatt claims he truly is?

Six Man War
The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, & Seth Rollins) vs. Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton, & Batista)
The rivalry between The Shield and Evolution has resulted in some vicious battles between the two teams as The Shield looks to lay claim as the most dominant force in WWE. Evolution claims that cannot be so because they are still here. Evolution has thrown everything at The Shield including more than 10 opponents at once and has beaten the trio down viciously as well, but The Shield still keeps coming and has vowed to make everyone “believe in The Shield” as they take out one of the most dominant groups in the history of WWE!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. “The Big Red Monster” Kane
Ever since Bryan won the WWE Championship his former Team Hell No partner Kane has been a thorn in his side. Stephanie McMahon manipulated Kane into once again donning his old mask and becoming “the demon” that he once was. Kane responded by beating Daniel Bryan viciously on RAW resulting in Bryan being stretchered out of the arena. Kane even attempted to pull Bryan’s wife Brie Bella down underneath the ring this past week. Even a hammer shot from Bryan couldn’t stop the monster as he looks to take the new WWE Champion completely out. Bryan looks to not only get revenge on Kane but successfully defend his World Title for the first time at a PPV event.

WWE’s “Extreme Rules” is live on the WWE Network and PPV tonight, May 4th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. Just a reminder that Dish Network and DirecTV will not carry the show.

Wrestleview.com will have live coverage starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 CT).
