AAA US Tapings Set
This week Wrestling Observer revealed that AAA USA and El Rey have lined up 09/06 and 09/07 in Los Angeles as the taping dates for the AAA USA show. So far AAA’s only luchador announced for the tapings is Fenix. American wrestlers Ricky Reyes, Joey Ryan, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Hernandez, and John Morrison have been confirmed as well. Reyes has wrestled all over the world with a lot of time spent in American with ROH, Puerto Rico with WWC, and Japan as well. Chavo is obviously part of the legendary Guerrero family and started his career down in Mexico before becoming a star in America with WCW, WWE, and TNA. Hernandez was a long time member of both AAA and TNA. Morrison is probably the most well known star having been a star for quite some time in WWE, but will more than likely wrestle under his real name here or a new name. Ricochet is not listed and considering he didn’t appear at “TripleMania” like planned he probably won’t be a part of AAA US.

* NOTES *
– Alberto del Rio, as El Patron, made his return to AAA to open the show cutting a promo about this firing from WWE. Perro Aguayo Jr. and Konnan interrupted it and got physical with him.
– Very good opening match resulted in Sagrada submitting Abismo.
– Daga’s Cruiserweight Title was on the line in the second match with Fenix’s Fusion Title being unified into the new World Cruiserweight Championship. They debuted a new green belt for the Cruiserweight Title. Ricochet was announced for the match but nowhere to be seen. Ricochet claimed that he missed his flight. Drago replaced him. The match came down to Fantasma and Angelico with Fantasma getting the win with a big Piledriver. It was a great, high flying match with tons of action.
– Taya Valkyrie broke her nose in her match with Fabi but Taya won the match anyway with the help from rudo referee Hijo del Tirantes. Taya is the first non Mexican luchadora to win the title.
– The Cage Match was a disaster from the start. Jarrett missed the show due to flight issues so Mesias, who was expected to be out for some time more with his most recent injury, replaced him. Mesias did a dive off the top of the cage to start the match. Electroshock was the last man left in the cage and had his head shaved in an awful match.
– The Mask vs. Hair Match was awesome and after a long match Psycho hit a Mexican Destroyer off the top through a table for the pin.
– Wagner, who suffered a really bad cut a few weeks ago, bled badly from the cut and was eliminated first in the Main Event. Myzteziz then submitted Ciber with a La Mistica and eventually Perro got the win after fouling Myzteziz. Alberto del Rio came out and had a brawl with Perro eventually putting him in the Cross Armbreaker.
– At the end of the show a video of Rey Misterio Jr. cutting a promo from home saying he would be back in AAA soon was briefly shown.
– It is hard to say what was worse from this show, the horrible stream or the the announcers for the show. Vampiro is seriously one of the worst commentators in the history of wrestling, but I was never able to see more than 1 minute uninterrupted of the stream before I gave up on the live show. It is beyond pathetic that after an entire year from the horrible disaster of last year’s TripleMania stream this happens. I will never spend money on a AAA iPPV again and I highly doubt many will after yet another failure.
