10/15 Impact: Terrific Fatal 4-Way main event

Week in and week out TNA is putting on some damn good wrestling in the ring but the problem is it just feels like all of these shows right now are placeholders. It is all just filler. Outside of the Tag Series and Bobby Roode-Lashley there really has not been much of any type of rivalry or storylines being pushed for the most part. It’s kind of odd and I can see where they are coming from with the uncertainty of the TV situation, but it could end up hurting TNA in the long run big time. Just like at Bound For Glory, yes it was a good wrestling show but there was little to no build towards that event and almost no angles or feuds other than Muta-Sanada. Hell, the World Title wasn’t even defended at the biggest show of the year! The TV situation needs to be figured out quickly and TNA can move forward rather than just kind of sitting in place.

With that said tonight’s Fatal 4-Way was absolutely terrific and if you want a match that fits the “Total Nonstop Action” name then there you go. Those guys busted their asses and went full blown pedal to the metal from start to finish. Roode gets his rematch now and hopefully it is even better than he and Lashley’s first match.

The Intergender Match was a waste and we have already even seen that very match. Nothing is going on with either of the teams so they just stuck them together.

The Tag Team Tournament should be fun and get some fresh teams into the mix for the Tag Titles now that The Wolves ended their Tag Series.

I like Brodus Clay and it is cool to see him in TNA but that name did nothing for me. It was just so bland and uninteresting. His history as a bodyguard for superstars makes sense for what they are doing with him but I hope he gets a chance to show what he can really do now.

Madison Rayne got in a lot more offense than I expected her too but the match just never really clicked with me. They are trying so hard to get Havok over as a monster that they aren’t really giving her a chance to have a really good match.

I really like the way Matt Hardy is going right now and I hope TNA keeps him around, not just to team with Jeff but he could be really solid in the midcard for up and coming guys.

Outside of the Main Event it was just an okay show, but definitely go out of your way to see the 4-Way.
