Lucha Underground Updates
The Wrestling Observer reports that Rey Misterio Jr. is very close to signing with AAA’s U.S. based promotion, and also noted that the company has lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 million dollars since starting up. They expected to lose that much money in the beginning and hopes of getting more TV deals in Mexico as well as potentially beginning to tour will bring in more revenue along with hopefully more merchandise. El Rey is still expected to pick the show up for a second season.

Lucha Underground Posts Perro Aguayo Jr. Tribute
This weekend Lucha Underground posted the tribute they did for Perro Aguayo Jr. at the last set of TV Tapings. It featured the entire Lucha Underground roster standing in, or around, the ring while Konnan, Vampiro, and Hijo del Fantasma spoke about Perro with big tribute posters behind them. Hijo del Fantasma actually wrestles in Lucha Underground as King Cuerno but appeared here in his Hijo del Fantasma mask. All three were very emotional during their speeches as were many of the other roster members most notably Pentagon Jr., Fenix, and Sexy Star. It was really hard to watch as Pentagon Jr. fought back tears, Fenix dropped to one knee and burst into tears, and Sexy Star fought back her tears as she led a ten bell salute. It is one of the more emotional tribute videos I’ve ever seen, and it is very hard to watch but if you would like to see it click below:
