Pentagon & Fenix Coming to Chicago Area
This week Indy promotion AAW announced that they are bringing AAA/Lucha Underground stars Fenix and Pentagon Jr. in for their big “Wind City Classic” event in November. No word on if they will be facing each other or not yet.

AAA’s next big event “Verano de Escandalo” on 06/14, which is headlined by Alberto and Brian Cage in a AAA World Title Match, Evans & Angelico against Cuervo & Escoria in a Steel Cage Hair Match, and the team of Rey Jr., Myzteziz, & La Parka Jr. teaming for the first time against the Lucha Undergroud trio of El Mesias, Johnny Mundo, and Pentagon Jr., will be available on iPPV for $15. There won’t be English commentary this time around, however, like Rey de Reyes earlier this year.
Rey Mysterio Coming to American Indy for Dream Match
This week New York Indy promotion House of Glory, which is owned by former TNA X-Division Champion Amazing Red, announced that they were bringing in Rey Misterio Jr. for their 08/21 event in Jamica, New York. Misterio will face Amazing Red himself in a Dream Match of sorts. Years ago people dreamed of seeing those two work with each other and Red was considered the “next Rey Misterio” before he had a multitude of knee injuries that slowed his career for awhile. The match should be pretty awesome still. Misterio will also be doing a special meet & greet with fans as well at the event which will likely be sold out pretty quickly.

Dorada & Cavernario In Japan
CMLL’s Mascara Dorada & Barbaro Cavernario wrapped up their appearances in New Japan’s annual Best of Super Juniors Tournament this week. Dorada finished third in his bracket while Cavernario finished sixth, both doing very well with some good performances. They ended the tour on the final night with an exciting match against each other which I believe was the first time Cavernario and Dorada have faced each other one on one. KUSHIDA ended up winning the entire tournament defeating ROH’s Kyle O’Reilly in the Finals.

DTU Announces June Tour
This week Indy hardcore promotion DTU announced a 5 day tour for June taking place 06/16 (Pachuca), 06/18 (Xalapa), 06/19 (Veracruz), 06/20 (Tulancingo), and 06/21 (Mexico City). California Indy wrestler Ryan Kidd and Japanaese star Masamune, who appeared at the Lucha World Cup, will be appearing on the shows. American Indy high flyer Rich Swann will also be appearing on the shows as well.

– In the Women’s Match Apache won the first fall and then Rossy got hurt in the second fall and somehow seemed to have pinned Apache anyway. Apache thought she kicked out and then pinned Rossy. Apache thought she won but was informed that she actually lost the fall and Rossy suddenly walked out because she was hurt so the title remained vacant.
