Big Hair vs. Hair Match Announced
This past week CMLL announced a big Hair vs. Hair Match between Rey Escorpion and Ultimo Guerrero will take place on 07/17. Guerrero was Escorpion’s mentor for years giving Escorpion is first taste of success in the 2011 Torneo Gran Alternativa which they won. Later Escorpion joined Guerrero’s Guerreros del Infierno group. Escorpion was kicked out of the group back in 2012 and has had an off and on feud with Guerrero ever since. This will be a culmination between two long rivals and former partners, and should be one of Guerrero’s best matches in quite some time as his best matches in recent years have been those that he faced Escorpion in.

En Busca de un Idolo Standings
The standings for the En Busca de un Idolo Tournament after this week are below. Bobby Zavala, Guerrero Maya Jr., Flyer, & Canelo Casas are currently in the top four right now. The most interesting thing involving this tournament actually happened out of the ring this week though. During a press conference that CMLL held hyping up the tournament and featuring all of the participants and judges. The only person that stood out was Disturbio who went on a huge rant about the judges and the tournament. He ripped Shocker to pieces and said that judges made no sense saying that they are also pushing the luchadors to wrestle more on the mat while the fans want to see them have more exciting matches. He also destroyed the voting system in which sometimes votes aren’t even counted. Everything he said has been said by fans over and over so it resonated with a lot of people.
1) Bobby Zavala: 283 points
2) Guerrero Maya Jr.: 236 points
3) Flyer: 181 points
4) Canelo Casas: 177 points
5) Esfinge: 164 points
