Villanos vs. Psycho Circus at TripleMania
This week AAA announced that Los Villanos (Villano III, Villano IV, & Villano V) will face the Psycho Circus at TripleMania. Villano III is hyping this up as his “farewell match” which would be fitting considering the long standing feud between the Villanos and Alvarado (Psycho Clown’s family) families. Villano III hasn’t wrestled since January but Villano V hasn’t wrestled since 2013 so this might actually just end up being Psycho Clown & one other Psycho Circus member against Villano III & IV.
Luchadors Appearing for GFW
This week Global Force Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett’s new promotion, announced a big Scramble Match featuring six luchadors including AAA’s Steve Pain. Joining Pain in the high flying affair will be Bestia 666, Misterioso Jr. (not the CMLL wrestler), Blood Eagle, Zokre, and Phoenix Star. Pain has been working for AAA, off and on, since 2013. He just returned to AAA in June after being gone from the promotion for most of the year. Bestia 666 is the son of Damian 666 and has worked pretty hard the last few years building a reputation in both American and Mexico working all over the place. He has had a slew of really well received matches with Hijo de Rey Misterio II/Rey Horus over the last couple of years. Misterioso Jr. is in his early twenties and has only been wrestling since 2011. I am not sure at all if he is really Misterioso’s son but Misterioso definitley trained him. Zokre and Phoenix Star are fairly well known west coast Indy guys that mostly work as a team called Los Luchas. I am unfamiliar with Blood Eagle other than he has worked different Mexican and west coast American Indies with Misterioso Jr., STeve Pain, and Bestia in the past. In fact all of these guys have worked shows together and all are based out of southern California.
Alberto No Shows American Indy
This past weekend Alberto el Patron was scheduled to work a Clutch City Promotions event in Houston, TX, but did not appear at the event and according to the promoters no showed with no reasoning for this. The promotion claims that Alberto had first class travel and a four star hotel all paid for as well as a deposit paid up front, and that Alberto had confirmed as late as Thursday night that he would be there but did not show up. Alberto has not commented on the issue but AAA has confirmed that Alberto is fine and is not missing or in any type of trouble that would cause him to miss the show.
Flamita Not Oficially Signed to AAA
Flamita did a couple of interviews following his AAA debut and he confirmed that he would work as “Fireball” only in AAA and that he is currently in negotiations with AAA but has yet to sign a contract with the promotion.
