Original Mistico Invades Arena Mexico
The original Mistico and current AAA star Myzteziz shocked the Lucha world when he invaded CMLL’s Arena Mexico on Friday night. He wore a new mask tha combines all of the elements of his former masks (Sin Cara, Mistico, and Myzteziz) but was not announced under any name. He said he would be returning to Arena Mexico on 10/25 for the All Elite show. CMLL never acknowledged his appearance during the show though they did on social media after it. This happened earlier in the year when L.A. Park showed up in Arena Mexico to hype up the upcoming All Elite show. Park eventually did return and actually work for CMLL later on though it only lasted a week. After the event Myzteziz spoke to the media and told them that he would finish out his dates with AAA and then wanted to return to CMLL. This previously seemed very unlikely because of the way he left CMLL to go to WWE and the bad blood between the two sides because of it, but now it seems that the door is at least open. AAA did not seem to have any idea this was going to happen and quickly took Myzteziz off a AAA house show over the weekend so Myzteziz may very well be completely done with AAA over. This is a MASSIVE blow to AAA if he leaves because they had set him up as the top rudo going forward and the Rey-Myzteziz feud was something AAA had already spent a lot of time on and were going to make a long term feud. What happens going forward is going to be very interesting.
Lucha Underground to Begin Taping in November
PWInsider reported this week that Lucha Underground will begin taping in November (11/14 was noted as the first tv taping) for season two and that season two will begin airing in January.
Daniel Bryan Teases Wanting to Work in Mexico
This week WWE star Daniel Bryan revealed in an interview that he would wrestle elsewhere if WWE refused to clear him and allow him to wrestle with them again. He said that he has been studying Lucha Libre history of late and made the comment that he would love to have a Mask vs. Hair Match at a CMLL Anniversary Show at some point.

* NOTES *
– Myzteziz started the show by coming out and saying that he was going to take out Rey Misterio Jr. and that he stood alone not needing La Sociedad/Perros del Mal.
– Lady Shani and Lady Maravilla were the two mystery luchadoras in the opener. They are both young luchdadoras that have been training with Gran Apache. It was one of the better female matches AAA has had in quite a while with everyone working hard. Taya pinned Maravilla to retain her title.
– The second match was a crazy spot fest with everyone doing all their big moves. Pentagon hit a Package Piledriver and looked to score the win until Myzteziz ran out and attacked him. Evans then pinned Pain to win the titles for his team. Pentagon & Lider demanded a rematch since they weren’t technically beaten in the match.
– The third match was another wild match with everyone going all out. Mesias hit a sick Powerbomb on Fenix for the pin and then ripped off his mask after the match.
– Taurus, in the Rumble Match, is a new debuting wrestler that was massive and had a big bull influenced mask and gimmick. Taurus eliminated Parka last to win the match in his debut. It is unclear if this is a new luchador or someone under a new gimmick.
– The debuting Garza Jr. in the Semi-Main is Hijo del Ninja, the nephew of Hector Garza. He is honoring his uncle and even did several trademark Garza moves in the match. He was pinned by Myzteziz in the match. The match continues the issues with Rey and Myzteziz.
– Mundo and Alberto had another crazy match between the two and late in the match Mundo destroyed Patron with a guitar. The referee refused to count for that since he saw the guitar used (big change for a AAA match especially since it was Hijo del Tirantes). Mundo then slapped the piss out of the referee leading to the DQ.
– After the Main Event Cage and Mundo beat Alberto down. Rey ran out to make the save but Myzteziz ran out and jumped him as well. La Sociedad then ran out and jumped on Rey and Alberto, but also attacked Myzteziz busting a guitar over his head. Hijo del Fantasma was introduced as the new leader of La Sociedad.

Tigre Uno Injured
Last weekend at TNA’s Bound for Glory PPV X-Division Champion, Tigre Uno (the former Extreme Tiger in AAA), separated his shoulder when he successfully defended his title in an Ultimate X Match against Zema Ion, Manik, and Andrew Everett. The injury came when Tigre did a 450-Splash to the floor on Zema. He still managed to climb the cables and retrieve his title. He is only expected to miss a few weeks and won’t require surgery so he dodged a bullet there. The match itself had a lot of Lucha influence with Zema and Manik taking part. Zema wrestled a few years ago for AAA, as Shiima Xion, and Manik worked for CMLL for quite a while as Puma. Both were trained by legends in Lucha with Zema being trained by Gran Apache and Manik by Negro Casas.
