WWE Smackdown Review (Layin’ the SmarkDown!)

Hello WrestleViewniverse and welcome to another exciting edition of Layin’ The SmarkDown! It’s the go home show to Survivor Series and it’s great to see all the matches are getting proper bui–what do you mean, the Survivor Series match JUST got announced!?

Miz TV: #BlameMiz in full effect as the poor guy just can’t keep order to his own segment. Some great hype for the title tournament…and then R-Truth showed up. I don’t know who thought this was a good idea…but they deserve a raise. Hilariously awkward, awkwardly hilarious. “My bad,” indeed.

Miz/Cesaro: Good ma–what do you mean, it’s over? Did you see that headscissors into the crossface, though!? #GiveCesaroAChance

Six Man Tag Match of Destiny: This was actually quite fun. I would love to see any of these guys involved in the Survivor Series match this Sunday…knowing our luck with WWE Creative, all of these men will probably be in it somehow.

Breeze/Ryder: OH RADIO, GETTING PUSHED IS A NO-GO…not even a mention of Ryder being friends with Dolph. Not from Breeze, not from commentary. Disappointing.

Wyatt Family Promo: Yes, all the yes. This segment was amazing. It’s nice that the other guys had something to say, while keeping the majority of the talking to the leader. Great responses from Taker and Kane, too.

Charlotte/Brie: Good little match. Nothing to write home about, but it wasn’t a bad match by any means. Paige interview after was pretty good, too. Gonna be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of how the contract signing went on RAW but at least there’s some good heat for this match.

Big E/Kalisto: Another good match, continuing what appears to be a New Day/Lucha Dragons feud. Good post-match stuff, too.

I’m skipping over all that nonsense about the movie and your buddy buddy Ambrose/Reigns segment to go right to…

Main Event: Great work from all four men here. Good action all around, and wise booking in the no contest as all four men look to prove they’ve got what it takes to be the next WWE Champion come Sunday. Nice little bit at the end, too.

Well, that’s it for this week. What did you think of the show? Do you think Roman or Dean will turn heel at Survivor Series? Who do you think they’ll throw into the SS match itself? Lemme know what you think in the comments or on Twitter @Power2TheSmarks! Till next time, this is Alex Kahrs reminding you to be excellent to each other.

Party on, dudes!
