Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion making Impact Wrestling debut at June TV tapings

Rich Swann

Impact Wrestling announced on their Twitter account Tuesday that former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann will debut at their next set of television tapings for POP TV which will be held on June on 1 and 2 at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  This will be Swann’s first major TV appearance since his release from WWE back in February of this year after he was arrested in Gainesville, Florida for a domestic battery and false imprisonment charge over an incident with his wife (wrestler Su Yung). The only other major appearance Swann has made since his release from WWE was at a Combat Zone Combat Zone Wrestling show back on April 14 in Voorhees, NJ as a surprise entrant in the four-way Best of the Best tournament match.

Swann debuted for WWE on the NXT brand in October 2015 and then went on to win the WWE Cruiserweight Title on the premier episode of the 205 Live brand on the WWE Network by defeating Brian Kendrick. Swann would later drop the title to Neville at the January 2017 Royal Rumble.
