‘The Pride of Bedfordshire’, Power Trip Wrestling, are back once more, and
are looking to do good for the local community once more. We are making a
very happy and proud return to our home town of Luton, and on Friday 24th
April 2009, we are going to be helping with raising money for Icknield
Primary School’s new minibus fund!

Here in the PTW office, we are incredibly proud of the one thing we love
the most, and that is Luton Town FC. On Sunday 5th April at Wembley, Luton
Town became the 2009 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Winners; and the
celebrations havent stopped even at time of writing. We send out our
congratulations and appreciation to all at Kenilworth Road, to Nick Owen
and the owners, to manager Mick Harford, captain ‘Super’ Kevin Nicholls;
and all of the players! Power Trip Wrestling’s logo is ‘Hatters’ colours,
and it’s something we’ve worn proudly on our sleeve for the two years plus
that we’ve been running shows.

PTW have recently been courting mainstream media interest, with a recent
article in the Luton & Dunstable Express newspaper, which can be viewed at
www.ldexpress.co.uk/ldexpress-news/displayarticle.asp?id=404609 , and our
appearance on Sky Digital Channel 567 (The Community Channel); which are
all in relevance to PTW’s profoundly deaf wrestler, Sean Midnight. Power
Trip Wrestling is a company unlike many, in that we do not believe in
being prejudiced against anybody, as is evidenced by the regular
appearances of Sean Midnight, and also disabled wrestler Dan Edge (who has
cerebral palsy); and our belief and standpoint is that if you have the
talent, Power Trip Wrestling will give you the opportunity and the stage
to show it.

As stated above, and in the last PTW news release, something is currently
a little bit strange in the world of Power Trip Wrestling; as it seems
PTW’s ever arrogant and outspoken ‘boss’, Petey Staniforth, has had some
kind of temporary change of attitude due to Luton Town’s Wembley win.
Either that or the celebrations have gone to his head! We’re betting on
the latter, and we don’t expect this to last for too long knowing his
legendary ego (which now apparently has it’s own postcode!), but it has
become public knowledge where the show on Friday April 24th is a
fundraiser for Icknield Primary School in Luton; this is also known to be
the school that his two children attend.
