Indy News #1: February 19 (TWA)

Michael sent this in:

WWF/E Legend and Hall of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka will be appearing at the next Tri-State Wrestling Alliance (TWA) Event on Sunday, April 11th at the FLYERS SKATE ZONE in Voorhees, New Jersey. Snuka will be doing a pre-show BODYSLAM AUTISM Meet & Greet with his friend “Wiseguy” Jimmy Cicero at NOON. Snuka, his wife Carol and their entire family are big supporters of Autism Awareness as it is a cause close to their home and hearts. Snuka and Cicero will be selling Bodyslam Autism T-Shirts, signing autographs and taking photos. Come out and support Jimmy Cicero and his cause and meet the one and only “Superfly!”

JUST ADDED…

TAG-TEAM RE-MATCH- Matt & Bryan Logan will face the team of “The Platinum Poppa” Rob Eckos and Billy Bax one more time. At the Jan 31st BODYSLAM AUTISM Show, the Logans were victorious, but not without some controversy. The match ended when Matt Logan pinned Billy Bax, who were the legal men in the ring. TWA Referee Matt Bennett made the right call and counted the pinfall, however at the same time, Rob Eckos had Bryan Logan pinned. While Eckos and Bryan WERE NOT the legal men in the ring, Bax and Eckos are claiming otherwise and they have petitioned TWA Commissioner Joel Goodhart for a rematch. When consulting the Logan Brothers, they made it clear to Goodhart that they want no doubt surrounding the circumstances of their victory and they gladly accepted the re-match challenge. The Logans have promised this time there will be no second guessing and no room for doubt and they will defeat Bax and Eckos in the center of the ring.

ALSO…

Team France, Mr. Ooh La La and Robere’ Shields, have told the TWA that Col. E.S. Easton will not be available to manage them on April 11th. Since Easton can not be there, the Frenchmen have said that they are in close contact with a former associate who is a strategical genius, and should they be able to secure his or her services on April 11th, they promise that there is no way they can lose the Flag Match to “The Red, White and Blue Express” of The Blue Meanie & Kid America w/ Mini-America. For those who were not in attendance at TWA BODYSLAM AUTISM on January 31st, the match between these two teams was THE most entertaining match of the afternoon. Don’t miss your opportunity to see this one again. Stay tuned!!

AND…

The TWA just learned that “Living Legend” Larry Winters recently made things real personal when he visited the karate/MMA dojo of Sensei Paul Lopresti. Some of the details are still sketchy, but apparently the shenanigans of Winters were caught on video as Presto videotapes training sessions for his students to study. Once we have the footage, we will post it right here for the fans of the TWA. For those who missed it at BODY SLAM AUTISM in January 31st, Paul Lopresti, a sponsor for the TWA and a close personal friend of TWA promoter “Hitman” Michael Bruno, was invited to do a karate demonstration with members of his youth program. Winters, who has a standing OPEN CHALLENGE in the TWA, took offense to Lopresti and the MMA and karate fighting disciplines being showcased at a pro wrestling event. Winters and his cohort Cujo the Hell hound brutally attacked Lopresti until Bruno made the assist and the challenge to the tag team grudge match on April 11th,
