(Bristol, PA- September 8, 2010) ROH officials and Eddie Edwards have come to terms on a contract extension for the current ROH World Television Champion. As one-half of The American Wolves, Edwards has played a large part in setting the Ring of Honor tag team division apart from the rest of the wrestling world. With classic battles against Kevin Steen & El Generico, Jay & Mark Briscoe, Bryan Danielson & Tyler Black, and more, Edwards has established himself as a dominant wrestler in the tag team ranks. As a singles wrestler, Eddie Edwards is also quite accomplished. Reiging as ROH World TV Champion since March 2010 when he defeated his own partner Davey Richards, Edwards also holds the distinction of being one of only a few men to make Bryan Danielson tap out, and has recently ramped up his defenses of the Television Title.

“Eddie Edwards has been one of the top in-ring workers during 2010.”, said ROH Vice President Sydney Eick, “He’s a competitor who has a bright future ahead of him in this business and we are excited to see what Edwards will bring to the table for Ring of Honor in 2011 and beyond.”

Edwards has a TV Title defense on tap for Ring of Honor’s debut in Plymouth, MA this Friday night against Erick Stevens and, should he retain, will face down Shawn Daivari on Saturday night at “Glory by Honor IX” live on iPPV with www.GoFightLive.TV. Tickets for both events will be available at the door the night of the show.
