NECW Closing For Now – Words from Sheldon Goldberg

After 10 years of continuous operation, New England Championship Wrestling is closing its doors in its current form.

The company leaves behind a legacy of great talent, great moments and innovations that have altered the landscape of our industry.

While it’s with great sadness that I am leaving New England Championship Wrestling behind for now, I am extremely proud of all we have done and the lives that have been touched and changed for the better by something we did as a company.

Most importantly, I want to thank you – our fans, our friends and our colleagues – for sharing with us in this decade long adventure called New England Championship Wrestling.

I can still be heard as host of the Mouthpiece Wrestling Show, Saturday nights at 10 PM EST on AM 1510 WWZN Boston, as well as the other stations along our network.

The NECW Television show will continue with original episodes through the end of the calendar year on Comcast On Demand and online. Our web site will continue to offer DVDs of some of the great action we’ve presented in the past and some new content in 2011.

Thank you for supporting New England Championship Wrestling. Please continue to follow our site for more information and exclusive features.

(On a side note, most of the NECW roster will work for PWF Northeast) The NECW Triple Crown Championship will now be known as the PWF Northeast Heavyweight Championship and will be held by “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke. The NECW Tag Team Titles will be the PWF Northeast Tag Team Titles and will be held by Da Hoodz.)
