**MVP Invitational: “MVP” Michael Von Payton pinned “Patriot” Pierre Rruneau (who it seems may or may not be Dash Bison’s identical twin brother.)

Show
(1 ) “Psycho” Mike Rollins defeated “Ronin” Josh Alexander in a “No Escape Chain Match” by submission, in a very violent and hard-hitting match. Rollins win sees him finally overcoming his former partner in singles action, following a year of warring between the two.

(2 ) “Odd’s On” Lucky Sabiti, “Canadian Dynamite” Max Boyer, and “The Allstarter” Brent B. beat 2.O (Shane Matthews & “Jagged” Scott Parker) and “The Afterparty” Cecil Nyx, when Sabiti made Shane Matthews tap. It doesn’t seem that this feud is over, as Matthews certainly had some choice words (and a challenge we won’t repeat here) for his opponents (specifically Sabiti and possibly Brent B) following the match. More on this as it develops.

(3 ) “Textbook” Tyson Dux pinned “Canadian Crazyhorse” Michael Elgin in much quicker fashion than many expected. It might have helped that Dux nailed Elgin with a low-blow, prior to stunning him with a quick brain-buster. Following the match Elgin told Tyson that the match was supposed to mean the world to him – and instead of a fair and competitive contest, Dux took the easy way out. Elgin challenged Dux to a rematch. Dux retorted and told Elgin that he didn’t deserve a rematch with him on April 30th – but perhaps if he could overcome the challenge of “Big Rig” Brodie Lee he could face him down the road. Elgin quickly accepted the stipulations. It looks like Elgin will square off with Brodie Lee in a rematch of their June 2010 Match of the Year award winning contest, on Saturday April 30th.

(4 ) C*4 Tag Team Champions, The NBA (“Prince of Persia” Rahim Ali and “MVP” Michael Von Payton) narrowly escaped the challenge of The Wolfmun ( Twiggy and Beef Wellington). In a back and forth match, that saw the NBA use every dirty trick in their arsenal, MVP and Ali retained. Near the end of the match, Beef Wellington suffered a crushing chair-shot to the knee, helping to set the Wolfmun up for defeat. Following the pin of MVP on a beaten and double-teamed Twiggy, the NBA continued their assault on their fallen opponents. Both Twiggy and Beef Wellington are reporting injuries to C*4 management, and we will have more on this as we receive it.

(5 ) NWA World Heavyweight Champion Colt Cabana pinned the determined, but unsuccessful challenge of Sebastian Suave. Using his unorthodox style, Cabana managed to put away Suave in a very entertaining and exciting contest. Cabana was a very welcome guest among all C*4 fans in attendance.

(6 ) In a highly competitive contest, Player Uno outlasted Mathieu St. Jacques, Dan Paysan, Sexxxy Eddy, “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea and Jae Rukin, to become the number-one contender for the C*4 Championship. It seemed this match could have gone to any of the men involved, but it was a determined Player Uno who walked away victorious.

(7 ) El Generico pinned “Speedball” Mike Bailey following an incredible contest. Many in attendance not only claimed that this was the Match of the Night, but also sets the bar for Ontario Match of the Year. Bailey gave Generico all he had, but could not pull out a victory. Bailey’s fatal error came when he went for a huge shooting star press on the experienced Generico, and landed on Generico’s knees. Following a brainbuster, Bailey was pinned. A great match. Bailey’s lessons in the C*4 school of hard-knocks continue.

(8 ) C*4 Champion “Player Dos” Stupefied outlasted “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen in match that saw both men bring their A-Game. The match almost came to an end many times, such as following a monster top-rope power bomb by Steen on Stupefied. However, the determined Champion continued fighting back. Stupefied hit Steen with a flurry of superkicks, which left boot imprints on his face, followed by a huge frog splash. The end came when Stupefied managed to lock in a dragon sleeper in on Steen. Steen refused to tap out or submit – and according to referee Bakais – eventually blacked-out in the hold. Much like the match before it, this is a serious early contender for MOTY.

Stupefied celebrated his win – as a visibly confused Steen stumbled to the locker room.
Out of the locker-room, Player Uno made his way to the ring. Uno congratulated Stupefied on the he win. He congratulated him on his wins over Michael Elgin, Sonjay Dutt, and Tyson Dux as well. However he brought up the fact that he had Stupefied had had yet to give him a shot at the belt he won by pinning him last June. It should be noted that Uno has yet to receive a single one-on-one contest for the C*4 Championship, despite being the final man eliminated by both Stupefied and Steen in their respective title wins.

As the newly crowned number one contender – Player Uno told Stupefied that he wanted his shot for the Championship not on April 30th or May 7th – but on Friday June 17th, when C*4 presents “Crossing the Line IV”, our annual season finale.

Stupefied seems to have accepted the challenge – and we will have more news on this as time progresses.

We would like to thank our 250+ fans who came out to smash all previous C*4 attendance records!

C*4 returns on Saturday April 30th 2011 with “Domination 2K11” featuring former WWE Superstar and ECW Original RHINO! We will have updates on the event in the coming days
