Flash Gets A Shot At Title, Someone Will Get Theirs As KSWA Travels To Plum

July 26, 2011

by Trapper Tom, Ring Announcer/Wrestling Journalist

One of the most electrifying Megastars in recent years will get his shot at the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championship as the KSWA travels to the Plum Community Festival for the first time. KSWA’s appearance is sponsored by Plum Borough Rotary.

Jay Flash, who refers to his fans as “Flash Addicts” will bring his intensity and high-flying style against the new title holder, Ali Kaida. KSWA Owner Bobby O says that Jay Flash will get his shot at this new event, largely because of his energy and perseverance. “It would be great if Jay could bring the KSWA title back to the Krazies from Plum,” said Bobby O. “Many of our Krazies haven’t seen anyone like Jay Flash.”
Kaida made headlines by besting former champ The Latin Assassin in what many call the greatest single match in KSWA history. Since that time Kaida has defended the belt against a rusty “Drunken Luchadore” Joey Quervo. The Afghani Assault Weapon, through manager Mayor Mystery, also demanded he take on The Great Toyota at Plum Community Festival, but they both had to be reminded that Toyota was recently taken out of action at the Moose by another Legion of the Apocalypse member–the Blood Beast.

Another match destined to highlight Plum Community Days is the Main Event, an over-the-top-rope Battle Royal in which one Megastar will win $1,000 and a shot at the KSWA title on August 13 at the Home of Professional Wrestling in Pittsburgh, the Lawrenceville Moose! The grand prize was devised by Interim Kommissioner Gentleman Joe Perri. Every Megastar available at Plum Community Days will take part in the match, and the win could propel a wrestler to the front of the waiting line. The winner will get that opportunity, whether it’s current champion Ali Kaida or challenger Jay Flash.

There’s a rematch for the KSWA World Tag Team Championships as the new champs Justin Sane and Lord Zoltan once again defend against the duo known simply as “Canadian Perfection.” On July 16, J.B. Goulet and Drew Belanger gave the champs a run for their money as part of the Guyasuta Football and Cheerleading Association fundraiser, however, Zoltan and Sane ended up being just a little too much for the upstarts. That being noted, the duo successfully campaigned KSWA Owner Bobby O for a rematch. Sane and Zoltan immediately agreed, as they are eager to take on all comers. Perhaps too eager.

The Golden Triangle Championship is on the line as champion Bobby Badfingers defends against Mitch Napier. This is a rematch from earlier this summer. Gentleman Joe Perri immediately slated a do-over between the two as Mayor Mystery’s incessant involvement screwed Mitch in the end. Mitch Napier, the technical wrestler from the Midwest, takes on the brawler from Chicago Bobby Badfingers. It will be soon enough before we see how involved Mayor Mystery gets in this contest, although Perri will have an eye on the situation.

The former KSWA Champion The Latin Assassin says he has some unfinished business with his former tag team partner The Blood Beast. The Beast from Camp Blood was instrumental in Ali Kaida getting his hands on Latin in the events leading up to his loss of the belt earlier this summer. Nothing has ever been settled between these two, who had a successful run as tag champs a few years ago. Since that time, Blood Beast has turned his back on Latin, despite the Assassin’s attempts to befriend the founder of the Legion of the Apocalypse.

The Jr. Heavyweight Champion “Ice Man” Tony Johnson tags up again with friend/tag team partner/challenger Alex Arcadian against “The King” Del Douglas and The Jester. This is also another sought-after rematch. The Jester surprised his challengers the last time out with his flashes of excellence. Douglas remains very much in the hunt for Johnson’s belt and he is willing and ready to knock Arcadian out of the picture. Arcadian is ready and willing to do the same to Douglas, all the while watching Johnson’s back. Johnson for his part, admires Arcadian but also has one eye on the Yuma, Arizona native. They’ve gone at it one-on-one before and will most likely again in the future.

Not likely to go unnoticed is another chapter in the long feud between Kris Kash and Shane Starr versus the original VIP’s “The Enforcer” Shawn Blanchard and “Dr. Devastation” Lou Martin. These four Megastars have been at each other’s throats for many years and there is no end in site. Kash and Starr lost the KSWA tag belts to the VIPs and Blanchard and Martin remain incensed that they’ve lost them. This matchup could very well be the highlight of the afternoon and early evening.
