SHIMMER Vol. 43-44 DVD Taping Results 10/2/2011 Berwyn, IL by Jason Namako
Hello everyone, here is the results from the 2nd night of tapings from the SHIMMEr promotion that took place last night in Berwyn, IL. These matches were taped for Volumes 43-44, that will come out on DVD in the near future. Thanks once again to Steven from www.diva-dirt.com for the results as he was live at both sets of tapings this weekend. With that out of the way, let’s get to the results.
Vol. 43
Match Number One: LuFisto defeated Maja Svennson by pinfall with the STO.
Video is shown of Amber Gertner interviewing Nicole Matthews. Matthews says its her time to become SHIMMER champion, but Cheerleader Melissa interrupts and says that its her time and that her match later in the night with Kana is the final roadblock between her and the champion, Madison Eagles.
Match Number Two: ReGeneration X(Allison Danger & Leva Bates) defeated Sassy Stephanie & Neveah by pinfall when Danger pinned Stephanie with their tag finisher, The Sonic Screwdriver.
Match Number Three: Nicole Matthews defeated Davina Rose by pinfall with the Roll of the Dice.
Match Number Four: Hiroyo Matsumoto defeated Kellie Skater by pinfall with a Saito Suplex.
Match Number Five: Saraya Knight defeated Ariel by pinfall with a sunset flip powerbomb.
Match Number Six: Courtney Rush defeated Nikki Roxx by pinfall with an Angle Slam.
Match Number Seven: Yumi Ohka defeated Mia Yim by pinfall with a Tiger Suplex.
Match Number Eight: MsChif defeated Tomoka Nakagawa by pinfall with the Desecrator.
Match Number Nine: Athena and Mercedes Martinez went to a double count-out.
After the match, the crowd chants for a re-start, however Mercedes starts a shoving match between her and Athena, which leads to referees coming out to break up the two. Athena gets in the ring, but Mercedes says that she is done with her and walks off.
Match Number Ten: Jessie McKay defeated Britani Knight by pinfall with the Boyfriend Stealer.
After the match, Saraya comes out and disowns her daughter. Britani tries to apologize, but Saraya slaps her. Britani then attacks Saraya, and a number of security and referees come in to break it up. Britani says that Rebecca Knox left SHIMMER because of Saraya, and now she is too, but not before she has a match with her mother. Saraya accepts and two go at it again, with officials again breaking the two up.
Match Number Eleven in a No Holds Barred Match: Serena Deeb defeated Portia Perez by pinfall with a Spear through a table.
Match Number Twelve in a #1 Contenders Match for the SHIMMER Title: Cheerleader Melissa defeated Kana by pinfall with the Air Raid Crash.
Main Event for the SHIMMER Tag Team Titles: Ayako Hamada & Ayumi Kurihara(c) defeated Sara Del Rey & SHIMMER Champion Madison Eagles by pinfall to retain the titles when Hamada pinned Del Rey with the AP Cross.

Match Number One: Kellie Skater defeated Davina Rose by pinfall with a running boot/neck breaker combo.
Match Number Two: Taylor Made defeated Veda Scott by pinfall with a spinning neckbreaker.
Match Number Three: Kalamity defeated Tomoka Nakagawa by pinfall with the Kalamity-ville Horror.
Match Number Four: Neveah & Sassy Stephanie defeated Ashley Lane(Madison Rayne) & Mia Yim by pinfall when Stephanie pinned Yim with the Kiss My Sass. Before the end of the match, Lane & Neveah brawled all the way to the back.
Match Number Five: Serena Deeb defeated Yumi Ohka by pinfall with the Spear.
Match Number Six in an 8 Woman Tag: ReGenerationX(Allison Danger & Leva Bates), Christina Von Eeerie & MsChif defeated Bonesaw Jessie Brook, She Nay Nay, Mena Libra & Melanie Cruise by pinfall when Von Eerie pinned Nay Nay with a Pedigree.
Match Number Seven: Hiroyo Matsumoto defeated Jessie McKay by pinfall with a Saito Suplex.
Match Number Eight: Sara Del Rey defeated Courtney Rush by pinfall with the Royal Butterfly.
Match Number Nine: Athena defeated Mercedes Martinez by DQ after Mercedes attacked her with a steel chair.
After the match, Mercedes continues the assault, nailing Athena’s leg time after time with the chair. Mercedes then with the Fisherman’s Buster and then leaves to go to the back, laughing at what she has done. Athena gets a mic and says that she thinks her leg might be broken, but when she comes back, she is going after Mercedes.
Match Number Ten: Kana defeated LuFisto by submission with a rear-naked choke.
Match Number Eleven in a No DQ Match: Britani Knight defeated Saraya Knight by pinfall with a DDT.
Match Number Twelve for the SHIMMER Tag Team Titles: Ayako Hamada & Ayumi Kurihara(c) defeated The Canadian Ninjas(Portia Perez & Nicole Matthews) by pinfall to retain the titles when Kurihara pinned Portia with a Uranage.
Main Event for the SHIMMER Title: Cheerleader Melissa defeated Madison Eagles(c) by pinfall to win the title after reversing the HellBound into a roll-up.
After the match, Melissa celebrates but is then attacked by Nicole Matthews to end the tapings.
