I am pleased to announce that on January 9th at the Legion in Oshawa, GCW(Great Canadian Wrestling) and Ontarioindywrestling.com join forces to bring you a night to remember.
GCW’s New Years Evil with 6 exciting matches, then following the show the 2009 OIW Awards will be presented in a by invite only special banquet event.
Some of the indy superstars already signed are:
Derek Wylde, Hayden Avery, Alex York, RJ City, Jake O’Reilly, Hacker Scotty O’Shea, The Entourage and many more to be announced. Full card will be up in the next few days. Come out and support GCW and the Ontario Indy Wrestling community on January 9th!
doors open at 6 pm …
bell time is 7 pm ..
tickets are $15 in advance .. $18 at the door
the show will consist of 6 matches and a 16 PERSON BATTLE ROYALE .. interspersed thru the event will be various award presentations ..
once the show ends – all members of the audience will be cleared out of the building and the ring will be torn down ..
once the hall is clear of the ring and the audience .. the workers in attendance , and selected fans who have been invited will be allowed back in the hall where a buffet will be set up .. at that time we will continue the award presentations .. there will also be a paid bar until 1 am !
the number of fans who will be invited will be limited …
all workers in Ontario are here by invited !

And if that wasn’t enough, there will also be a Sweet 16 Battle Royal with the winner receiving a title shot for the Ontario Independent Title. Some of the participants in the battle royal will be: Rip Impact, Steve Brown, Crazy Steve, Tyler Tirva and Josh Alexander and more to be announced.
I have also received a message from “Your Savior” Sebastian Suave. Suave has said that he is not too impressed with the fact that he keeps coming in second place in previous years OIW Awards. He is assuring that not only will he be in attendance to accept his many awards for 2009 but he will be looking to make an impact at the show as well to prove that he is indeed “Your Saviour”. What does Suave have up his sleeve? We will all find out on January 9th at the Legion.
