NWS Internet News Update For Week Of 10/24

“Halloween Mayhem” This Friday On The Jersey Shore, More Shows Announced For November Including The Return Of A Monster Face-Off, And More

Hello NWS fans! This is your weekly update on what’s happened, what is happening now, and what is going to happen soon in the nation’s leading family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars.

Upcoming Shows This Weekend

Friday night October 28th, NWS returns to Long Branch, NJ with “Halloween Mayhem” at the Bucky James Community Center ( 231 Wilbur Ray Avenue, just off Broadway, minutes from Route 36, Ocean Avenue and the Parkway) with a 7:45pm bell time.
A zombie will be on the prowl, looking for brains to devour… a clown will be dancing around, spreading his merry hijinx… four huge nightmare-ish creatures will be stalking each other… an atomic-powered dog will be barking and rattling his chains…Yes, it’s Halloween, but we’re not talking about an ordinary Halloween party… this is what happens when NWS puts on their annual “Halloween Mayhem” show. Headlining this night of thrills, chills, and spills will be the aforementioned one-time ECW TV star The Zombie, The World Famous TV Wrestling Clown, and popular area fan-favorite The Atomic Dog. And it wouldn’t be Halloween without a “Monster Mash” of sorts, and NWS is taking that to new heights, as the pair of five-hundred pound monsters known as The (Original) Nigerian Nightmares (Ma-Fu & Sna-Fu), who have returned to NWS to once again dominate the ring, will battle another half-ton pair of their fellow countrymen who have tried to take their monniker, The (New) Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu & Bo-Bo). There will also be thrills of another sort… a Ladder Match in Long Branch for the vacant NWS Cruiserweight Title. The belt will be suspended high above the ring, as three top contenders will battle to climb the ladder and retrieve the belt, in the form of current NWS Jersey Shore Champion The Jersey Kidd, former Cruiserweight champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, and NWS newcomer Marcus Streets. Other regional and local pro mat stars invading Long Branch include the newly-crowned NWS Heavyweight Champion Ray-Ray Marz, The 2 Rude Dudes (NWS Hardcore Champion “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & “Rampage” Rogers), Team Casanova (NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans & Damian Darling), Fast Eddie Franken, Bobby Youngblood, “Mr. Varsity” Big Jeff Noyze, Dylan Dollars, and Long Branch’s own Sargeant Jimmy “Gidorah The Three-Headed Monster” Storm. There will also be a costume contest with prizes for the best costume ages 1-12 and 13 & up, and much more. Tickets are only $20 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors.

Tickets for this weekend’s shows are available by calling (732) 888-1704
Remaining seats, if any, are available at the door one hour before bell time.

Other Upcoming Shows

Friday night November 4th, NWS returns to Middletown, NJ’s Thorne Middle School (70 Murphy Road in the Port Monmouth section of Middletown, just off Main Street, minutes from the Parkway and Routes 35 & 36) with a 7:45pm bell time.
After the last blowout show, everyone was asking “How will you top that?” Well, NWS has figured out how… with no less than a “We Want Tables” Tag-Team Match for the main event, featuring a former ECW and WWE star, now featured on TNA/Impact Wrestling TV, who knows more about Table Matches than anyone in pro wrestling… from the world-famous Dudley Boyz, it’s Devon Dudley. Devon will team with his old friend and popular Jersey Shore wrestler The Atomic Dog against his arch-nemesis of late Steve “Monsta” Mack and his partner, the star of the National Georgraphic Channel pro wrestling special “Slammed!”, Danny Inferno. And there’s even more for the fans to get excited about. Former NWA wrestling legend Ox Baker will be making a special appearance, along with The World Famous TV Wrestling Clown. Plus, The (Original) Nigerian Nightmares (Ma-Fu & Sna-Fu), newly returned to NWS, will square off against two of their fellow countrymen who took their name and place in NWS all these months, The (New) Nigerian Nightmares (La-Fu & Bo-Bo); with nearly a ton of humanity in the ring, this is an encounter of truly monstrous proportions. Joining them will be plenty of other regional and local pro mat talent from around the Bayshore area, such as NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion and 2011 J-Cup winner “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans, The 2 Rude Dudes (“Rampage” Rogers & “Corrupted” Corey Havoc), Damian Darling, “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, Michael Reigns, and more, including Middletown South’s Nikki Canatore, and Thorne Middle School’s own Assistant Principal Pete Smith as a special guest manager. Tickets are only $20 for ringside seats and $18 for bleacher seats.

Friday night November 18th, NWS returns to the Kearny, NJ High School Gym (336 Devon Street, just off Kearny Avenue, minutes from Routes 280 and 21) with a 7:45pm bell time.
And not just one, but *TWO* huge main events are in store for the fans that night. First off, the star of National Geographic Channel’s pro wrestling documentary “Slammed!”, Danny Inferno, will go one-on-one with another TV star… but this opponent was a hardcore icon star of ECW and WCW TV, the dangerous Crowbar. The other half of the main event follows in the grand tradition of horror movie confrontations. It started with “Freddie Versus Jason”, then it was “Alien Versus Predator”… and in Kearny will be “Brains Versus Worms”, as the brain-eating one-time ECW star The Zombie will face off the former WWE worm-eating TV star The Boogieman. This battle is too big for the movie screen, it can only be staged in the wrestling ring! There will also be appearances by plenty of other top stars from the pro circuit. Tickets are only $20 for ringside seats and $18 for bleacher seats.

Saturday night November 19th, NWS returns to Edison, NJ’s St. Matthews Parish Gym (81 Seymour Avenue, just off Plainfield Avenue between Routes 1 and 27) with a 7:35pm bell time.
And the main event in store for the fans is another “screening” of their horror movie confrontation, as the brain-eating one-time ECW star The Zombie will face off the former WWE worm-eating TV star The Boogieman. There will also be appearances by plenty of other top stars from the pro circuit, including Edison High School’s own pro wrestler Fast Eddie Franken and St. Matthews’ Darren Venture… and of course, what St. Matthew’s show would be complete without an appearance from Matty The Leprechaun.Tickets are only $18 for reserved ringside seats and $16 for bleacher seats.
Tickets for all upcoming shows are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. All major charge cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more.

Hollywood, CA

On August 23, 2011, pro wrestling hit Hollywood’s World Famous Sunset Strip at The Key Club for a night of wrestling, music, comedy, dance and more; and for the first time since the live event took place, the show’s footage is finally being released on this exclusive Collector’s Edition DVD, as MakeMeAproWrestler.Com, along with Headblade presents Fight Night On The Strip.

In the world of wrestling they say anything can happen, and on this show, that proves exactly to be the case, as tag-teams switch partners, fans jump in the ring from the crowd, a comedian gets blasted, a guillotine is used, a new Champion is crowned, and a controversial leader re-emerges. After a near 8-year absence from the pro wrestling industry, and after serving time in a Federal penitentiary for charges of Obscenity, dubious former owner of XPW, Xtreme Pro Wrestling, Rob Black, returns with his cronies from The Black Army, former XPW Heavyweight Champion “White Trash” Johnny Webb and the “hardcore Homo” Angel with an invasion that confusingly may seem like the beginning resurrection of XPW.

Truly representing a Hollywood based, Hollywood themed, and Hollywood styled wrestling federation, Fight Night On The Strip brings entertainment and variety fitting the eclectic interests of all sorts of pro wrestling fans.

Loaded and packed with tons of bonus footage, features and extras, this DVD captures the action and festivities of this historic event, that may just plant the seeds for the evolution of something new in Hollywood.
