NWS Internet News Update For Week Of 11/14: “Brains Versus Worms” Returns This Weekend, Final Shows For 2011, And More
Hello NWS fans! This is your weekly update on what’s happened, what is happening now, and what is going to happen soon in the nation’s leading family-friendly pro wrestling promotion, National Wrestling Superstars.

Upcoming Shows This Weekend

This Friday night November 18th, NWS returns to the Kearny, NJ High School Gym (336 Devon Street, just off Kearny Avenue, minutes from Routes 280 and 21) with a 7:45pm bell time.
The trend of horror character confrontations began with “Freddy Versus Jason”… then they upped the ante with “Alien Versus Predator”… and this coming Friday night November 18th at 7:45pm, it’s the fiercest battle of them all… “Brains Versus Worms”… and it’s not on any movie screen, it’s in the pro wrestling ring, live and up close.
That’s right… it will be the brain-eating former ECW TV star The Zombie… taking on the former WWE TV superstar who’s famous for eating worms, and forcing his victims to do the same, the one and only Boogieman!
And for nearly the price of a nighttime movie ticket these days, you get that classic confrontation live and up close, plus a whole lot more. There will also be another main event confrontation of TV wrestling stars, as the star of National Geographic Channel’s pro wrestling documentary “Slammed!”, international star Danny Inferno, will tangle one-on-one with a former ECW and WCW TV hardcore icon, the one and only Crowbar.
There will also be appearances by the newly-crowned NWS Tag-Team Champions The 2 Rude Dudes (NWS Hardcore Champion “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & “Rampage” Rogers), NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion and 2011 J-Cup winner “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans, NWS Jersey Shore Champion The Jersey Kidd, and the return to the NWS ring of veteran area mat star “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto.
Plus other regional and local pro mat stars including The World Famous TV Wrestling Clown, former NWS Tag-Team Champions Mike Dennis and Chris D’Andrea, Fast Eddie Franken, and much more.
Tickets are only $20 for ringside seats and $18 for bleacher seats.
Saturday night November 19th, NWS returns to Edison, NJ’s St. Matthews Parish Gym (81 Seymour Avenue, just off Plainfield Avenue between Routes 1 and 27) with a 7:35pm bell time.
And the main event in store for the fans is another “screening” of their horror movie confrontation, as the brain-eating one-time ECW star The Zombie will face off the former WWE worm-eating TV star The Boogieman.
Plus other regional and local pro mat stars including Bobby Youngblood, Tim Hughes, “Retro Rocker” Rikki Roxx, Leon Saint Giovanni, plus Edison High School’s own pro wrestler Fast Eddie Franken and St. Matthews’ Darren Venture, and of course St. Matthews’ own mascot Matty The Leprechaun.
Tickets are only $18 for reserved ringside seats and $16 for bleacher seats.
Tickets for all shows this weekend are available by calling the NWS box office at (732) 888-1704. All major charge cards are accepted, and group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Remaining seats, if any, will go on sale at the door one hour before bell time.

Other Upcoming Shows

Friday night December 2nd, NWS returns to the Kenilworth, NJ Veterans Center (33 South 21st Street, just off The Boulevard, minutes from the Parkway) with a 7:45pm bell time.
And this long-awaited return to the Union/Kenilworth area will be headlined by a pair of TV wrestling superstars. First off, it will be the former ECW TV hardcore icon who calls himself “the original ECW gangsta”, the one and only New Jack, as he battles a veteran of the northeast circuit, the big man Steve “Monsta” Mack (who will have “Low Life” Louis Ramos in his corner) in a “First Blood” Match. No pinfalls, no submissions, no disqualifications, no countouts… the only way to win is to be the first one to make your opponent bleed. If you are a fan of hard-hitting true combat in the ring, this match is for you.
But an even more exciting event coming to Kenilworth will be the first ever appearance in NWS of a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, one-half of the world-famous “Rockers” tag-team along with “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, the one and only Marty Janetty.
From TV headliners to local pro mat stars… Kenilworth will also play host to a match that the fans were hoping they would never see, a showdown between life-long friends and former championship tag-team partners, Mike Dennis and Chris D’Andrea. At the last Union area show, they not only lost the tag-team titles, but their families’ friendship as well, as the two blamed each other, and each other’s fathers’ interference as well, for the loss. In Kenilworth, Mike and Chris will battle each other one-on-one to settle their differences, with their fathers in their respective corners.
There will also be an Eight-Man Battle Royal that night, where the winner will be rewarded with a spot in a Steel Cage match at the following night’s NWS show. Plus appearances by other regional and local pro mat stars including the new NWS Cruiserweight Champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie, Steve “The Gipper” Gipke, “Tough” Tony Scorace, “Too Hot” Steve Scott, Nick Talent, “Hillbilly” Justin Blackwell, and much more.
Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors.
Saturday night December 3rd, NWS makes its debut appearance at Parlin, NJ’s St. Bernadette’s Church Lourdes Parish Center (20 Villanova Road, just off Ernston Road, minutes from Routes 9, 35, and the Parkway), with a 7:35pm bell time.
And this long-awaited return to the Sayreville/Parlin area is a special “Steel Cage Mania” night, with two matches being held in the confines of that ultimate wrestling battleground, a fifteen-foot-high steel cage.
This auspicious night will be headlined by a pair of TV wrestling superstars. First off, one of the two steel cage matches will include the former ECW TV hardcore icon who calls himself “the original ECW gangsta”, the one and only New Jack. No matter who the opponent turns out to be, If you are a fan of hard-hitting true combat in the ring, this match is for you.
But an even more exciting event coming to Parlin will be the first area appearance in NWS of a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, one-half of the world-famous “Rockers” tag-team along with “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, the one and only Marty Janetty.
There will also be appearances by the new NWS Cruiserweight Champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie and the current NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion, 2011 J-Cup winner “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans, and many more, including special guest manager Captain Billy Bathe and special guest ring announcer Reggie Butler.
Tickets are only $20 for adults and $18 for kids and seniors.
Saturday night December 10th, NWS closes out 2011 with “Season’s Beatings” as it returns to the Dunellen, NJ Knights Of Columbus Hall (647 Grove Street, just off Washington Avenue and Route 28, minutes from Routes 22 and 287) with a 7:35pm bell time.
This long-awaited return to Dunellen will be NWS’ last show before the holidays, and is being appropriately called “Season’s Beatings!” Headlining this big event will be former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, one-half of the world-famous “Rockers” tag-team, the one and only Marty Janetty.
There will also be appearances by the new NWS Cruiserweight Champion “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie and the current NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion, 2011 J-Cup winner “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans, and the star of National Geographic TV’s pro wrestling special “Slammed!”, Danny Inferno, plus many more.
Tickets are only $19 for adults and $17 for kids and seniors.
