South Philadelphia will be busy this year, with Toys for Tots events at The Arena in Philadelphia. Arena management, as they have for the last seven years, has offered to have the collections done at more events during the Holiday season than in the past. CHIKARA will feature a collection tonight at JOSHIMANIA.
We ask that you please bring an unwrapped toy to the Asylum Arena; and donate it to the Toys or Tots program, who will have collection bins at the entrance of the Arena. The mission and goal of the Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. Though a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope is delivered to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
The first stop of our JoshiMania tour is next Friday in Philadelphia, as we play the former ECW Arena with a loaded line-up of leading ladies from around the globe! We’ve also got some CHIKARA favorites on-hand, as well as a pre-show Meet n’ Greet just prior to the official start of the event (tickets for this will be sold at the door!)
December 2nd will also see Manami Toyota presented with a Legacy Award from Diva Dirt for her career of accomplishments, mark the home-stretch of Kaori Yoneyama’s retirement tour, and feature the a long-awaited dream match in the main event! Here’s a complete rundown of the card:
