Pre-Show Notes
Before the show, Eddie Edwards comes out with Jim Cornette and says he is unable to compete tonight due to his staph infection, but he hopes to return to Norfolk soon to perform for the “great” Ring of Honor fans.
Attendance was said to be around 500.
No return date was announced.
1. “The Pretty Boy Pitbull” Kenny King defeated Andy “Right Leg” Ridge by pinfall.
2. “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett defeated Grizzly Redwood by pinfall with the Box Office Smash.
3. “Wrestling’s Worst Nightmare” Kevin Steen defeated Adam Cole by pinfall with the F5.
After the match, Steen tried to give Cole the Package Piledriver, but Eddie Edwards ran in to make the save.
4. Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles: “The Baddest Tag Team on the Planet” #DemBoys The Briscoes(c) defeated Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander by pinfall to retain the titles with the Doomsday Device.
Intermission
After intermission, Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team come out and run down the Norfolk fans, saying that they have wrestled in the “real” Norfolk Scope, but are then interrupted by a local team to lead in to the next match.
5. Jeff Early & Zak Hilton defeated Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team by disqualfication when Haas shoved down the referee.
After the match, WGTT continue the beating on Early & Hilton until the Briscoes run in to brawl with WGTT and chase them to the back. During the brawl, Steel chairs were used, but no shots connect.
6. Proving Ground Match: “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa w/The Embassy defeated Ring of Honor Television Champion Jay Lethal by pinfall as the time limit expired with Project Ciampa to earn himself a future Ring of Honor Television Title match.
7. Main Event in a Tag Team Grudge Match: Team Ambition(Ring of Honor World Champion “American Wolf” Davey Richards & Kyle O”Reilly) defeated The House of Truth(Roderick Strong & “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin) w/Truth Martini by pinfall when O’Reilly pinned Strong after Martini accidentally hit Strong with the Book of Truth.
With the win, Team Ambition will face The Briscoes for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Titles when Ring of Honor makes its debut in Cincinnati, OH on Feburary 17th.
