UPSTART LONDON PRO WRESTLING COMPANY
ANNOUNCES SECOND SHOW IN JUNE

“Do you remember when wrestling was awesome? So do we.”

Following on from the sell-out success of PROGRESS Wrestling’s debut show in March, promoters Jim Smallman and Jon Briley are delighted to announce a second date at The
Garage on Highbury Corner in Islington.

PROGRESS Chapter Two: The March Of Progress will take place on Sunday 24th June. Featuring the very best of the UK’s talent, inaugural champion Nathan Cruz will be in action as well as decorated veteran “The Cockney Crusader” Greg Burridge, international superstar Lion Kid and the return of the hottest star on the British scene right now, Marty
Scurll. Plus tag team action, featuring star of BAFTA- and Empire-Award nominated movie “Attack The Block”, Alex Esmail.

The first match-ups announced for the show are:

PROGRESS Title Match: Nathan Cruz v Marty Scurll, 2 Out Of 3 Falls Singles Match: Noam Dar vs “Dazzling” Darrell Allen
Tag Team Match: The Velocity Vipers vs The London Riots
Further matches will be announced in the weeks leading up to 24th June, with the next big match scheduled to be announced on 30th May in PROGRESS’s regular YouTube show, The Progress Report.

PROGRESS presents ‘strong-style’ pro wrestling. That doesn’t mean hardcore violence with lots of blood… what is does mean is a more realistic, combative style of wrestling that
you would find around the world in top promotions such as Ring Of Honor, PWG or anywhere in Japan. Long gone are the days of Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Hulk Hogan… Progress’s strong-style wrestling has much more in common with MMA than it does with pantomime-style heroes and villains.

PROGRESS shows are for adults… no fans under 14 are allowed in, and fans between 14 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The atmosphere is raucous, feisty and grownup; it’s this special atmosphere that has helped to put PROGRESS on the UK wrestling map after just one show.
