The Emperor promises a “statement”! Grudge match signed!
We are under a week away from the most important night in C*4’s history, and Season 5 finale.
Right now we a big match announcement to make, as well as a small change to an already announced match-up, as we finalize the stacked card for CTL5!
First up – last week it was announced that C*4 tag team champions, Checkmate, would be defending their prize against three teams on Saturday night. Well, due to an unexpected turn of events, they will now only be defending them against only two of those tandems.
C*4 management was unexpectedly contacted by C*4 Champion and leader of The Authority, “The Emperor” Stu Grayson over the weekend. Grayson informed us that he was pulling Mathieu St. Jacques & Thomas Dubois from their match this upcoming weekend.
Grayson told C*4 management that he believes that Dubois & St. Jacques have gold in their future, without a doubt. However, he stated that The Authority was planning on making a major “statement” at CTL5 – and Dubois & St. Jacques, while worthy of a Championship opportunity would be making their mark elsewhere on the card.
We’re not quite sure what this all means – however, we will move forward with the Tag Team Championship contest. And much like last month’s triple threat tag team title match – we have no doubts that this match could steal the show!

Now, on the subject of tag team competition, last month, The Afterparty of Cecil Nyx & Chaz Lovely, found themselves on the losing end of a match against 3.O, after some underhanded tactics.
As a result, The Afterparty demanded a rematch against 3.O, and declared that they wanted some extra back-up against the cheaters that are Shane Matthews & “Jagged” Scott Parker.
In a strange turn of events, The Afterparty informed us that their original selected tag team partner (with whom they found success with earlier this season in six man action), Ethan Page would not agree to team with them. What makes matters even stranger is that Page told C*4 management he refuses to partner with the duo of Nyx & Lovely, opting that his future in C*4 will be a much more “professional one”.
And with that, “The Most Professional” tag team in C*4 informed us that they accepted The Afterparty’s challenge, and would be joined with none-other than Page himself!
With that announced, The Afterparty contacted C*4 management and told us that if 3.O wanted to play dirty, so would they…
