– The Ring of Honor World Tag Team Title Tournament begins THIS Friday night when we return to Baltimore for another set of TV Tapings. Team #7 was announced yesterday and the man who was stripped of the title, Rhett Titus, will team with a partner yet to be named! It is unknown whether Rhett will be able to pick his own partner or if ROH officials assign him one. All we can tell you at this point is that the ROH faithful will find out on Friday night at The Du Burns Arena!
– Speaking of Baltimore this Friday, 2 Names have been released as participating in 6 Man Mayhem. “Technical Lightning” TJ Perkins and “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett are both confirmed for the match and possible TV Title opportunity at “Death Before Dishonor X”.
– In addition, Jay Lethal will face Matt Taven one-on-one this Friday at the Du Burns Arena! Taven has impressed ROH officials every time he has competed in an ROH ring but has yet to get that much needed victory. Lethal has a fantastic win record in ROH and Taven would do wonders to his career if he is able to defeat Lethal.
– It’s “Tuesday Rollout” so that means new releases for the ROH faithful!!! And this week we bring to you 2 brand new DVDs: “The Briscoes: Since Day One” & “The Nightmare Begins”.
– Everyone needs to watch the latest of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV which is now available to Ringside Members. This episode features the big ROH World Television Title contest between Roderick Strong and Adam Cole that is a history making match. In addition, “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa faces Mike Sydal and “The Man Beast” Rhino is in action! Plus, Kevin Kelly interviews Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team and Inside ROH features an Eddie Kingston bio, comments from Bennett and Maria regarding Sara Del Rey and much more!
– Anticipation is building for Ring of Honor’s debut in Providence, RI on August 11th with “Boiling Point 2012”! We wanted to offer all of our great fans from around the world the chance to catch this event and now it is possible live on iPPV! This event was not originally schedule to be an iPPV but ROH officials wanted to make our Rhode Island debut even bigger… so we pulled the trigger on offering it worldwide! Eddie Kingston is ready for his ROH World Championship match against Kevin Steen and it is expected to be a war! The history between these 2 champions is well documented and it could all be settled on August 11th.
– Brutal Bob has seen action on ROH TV recently and although unsuccessful, he has shown toughness and an extreme bitterness not seen in any other ROH wrestler on the roster. The Brutal One has been contacting ROH officials over the last week requesting a Proving Ground match against Adam Cole in Brutal’s home territory of Providence, RI on August 11th. Brutal Bob is sour that young Adam Cole pinned him on ROH TV a couple of weeks ago and apparently wants to show off to his hometown crowd by embarrassing Cole.
– Jim Cornette apparently has a back up list of potential challengers for ROH World Champion Kevin Steen and he has promised that he will keep coming up with challengers until the title is off of Steen. Homicide has his big chance this Friday in Baltimore and if history is any indication… Homicide is the favorite to win.
– Kyle O’Reilly is desperate for a rematch with the new ROH World Television Champion Adam Cole. O’Reilly has stated that he never tapped out to Cole at “Best in the World 2012” and he deserves a chance to redeem himself.
– This weekend’s edition of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” features the rubber match between “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett and Lance Storm! This is the first appearance of Lance Storm on national television in a long time and you don’t want to miss it! Also in action is Mark and Jay Briscoe as they battle the mysterious Guardians of Truth! There will be an in ring interview with upcoming ROH World Title challenger Eddie Kingston plus Inside ROH looks into the Embassy shakeup!
