Our friends at AAW – Professional Wrestling Redefined are back at the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL tonight (Friday, August 24th). Bell time is 7:45pm. Tickets will be available at the door.
We will have SHIMMER 49-52 tickets and copies of the newest DVDs in the SHIMMER series available during intermission tonight for anyone interested in picking them up in person.

INITIAL NAMES ANNOUNCED FOR SHIMMER 49-52!

SHIMMER – WOMEN ATHLETES returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL on Saturday & Sunday, October 27th & 28th, 2012. Volumes 49-52 of the SHIMMER series will be filmed during the course of that weekend. Bell time on Saturday, October 27th is 2pm. Bell time on Sunday, October 28th is 1pm. The events are suitable for all ages.
Two front row seats (next to one another, seats #1 & #2 right by the entrance curtain) for only the Saturday, October 27th day of taping are back up for grabs.They are $70 per seat or the whole day (Volues 49 & 50). Priority goes to anyone who is interested in taking both of them, rather than individually. Please E-mail shimmernews@yahoo.com if you have interest, and indicate whether you are interested in just one of them or both. If you currently have general admission tickets for the show and would like to “upgrade,” that can be arranged as well.
General admission seating is still available at a cost of $30 per full day of taping (two full length DVDs worth of live matches). Use the PayPal buttons at http://www.shimmerwrestling.com/ to secure your seats. Alternately, you may purchase tickets by money order. E-mail shimmernews@yahoo.com for mail order instructions. Over half of the available tickets have already been sold for the events.

SHIMMER TO PARTICIPATE IN WRESTLECON!

SHIMMER – WOMEN ATHLETES will be participating in a huge independent wrestling festival during WrestleMania weekend next year.
SHIMMER, CHIKARA, Dragon Gate USA, EVOLVE, and Combat Zone Wrestling will all be presenting live events at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ from April 5th through April 7th.
SHIMMER 53 will take place during the afternoon of Saturday, April 6th, on the same day as CHIKARA and Dragon Gate USA events during the late afternoon and evening. This will mark the second time that SHIMMER will hold a live event outside of its Berwyn Eagles Club home base (the first was the SHIMMER 14 event from Inverness, FL during 2007).
Ringside tickets for SHIMMER 53 will go on sale at http://www.wrestlecon.com/ on September 5th. Front row seating will be priced at $50, second row will be $40, and general admission will be $25.
If you will be on the east coast during WrestleMania weekend next year, don’t miss this rare opportunity to catch a live SHIMMER event without needing to travel to Chicago to do it!

The first round for King of Trios 2012 has been confirmed – it’s Scott “Jagged” Parker, Shane Matthews and Gran Akuma vs. Obariyon, Kobald and Kodama (The Batiri)!
Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw and Manami Toyota will compete against combatANT, deviANT and Soldier Ant (The Swarm) at King of Trios! Tensions will be high when Quack and Jigsaw meet two of their hated rivals during the biggest tournament of the year. Will Quack, the patriarch of CHIKARA, lose his cool once again at the expense of GEKIDO?
Fire Ant, Green Ant, and assailANT (WInk Vavasseur’s version of “The Colony”) team up to face the visiting Team Sendai Girls made up of DASH Chisako, Meiko Satomura and Sendai Sachiko.
Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano, and Icarus (F.I.S.T.) match up against Kikutaro, Ebessan, and Takoyakida (Team Osaka Pro) but only one can advance to the quarter-finals!
