8/29- CWE Tag Team Champion Headed to Mexico.

It is with great pleasure and with great honor Canadian Wrestling’s Elite gets to announce that current CWE Tag Team Champion AJ Sanchez will be heading to the great wrestling country of Mexico for a two week stay with the storied AAA promotion.

Last week CWE hosted a AAA try out and seminar in Winnipeg, Manitoba headed by AAA booker and wrestling icon Konnan. With AAA looking to expand into the US it is currently on the look out for some fresh North American talent to add into the fold which allowed a group of Canadian hopefuls a chance to impress Konnan and earn a 15 day stay in Mexico. During that stay Sanchez will learn the art of Lucha Libre as well as get the opportunity to perform on live events.

Sanchez impressed Konnan with his agility, speed, and stamina for a man his size and most importantly with his ability to capture a room with his personality. The success in being chosen comes to no surprise to anyone in CWE as Sanchez is the company’s first ever champion and has a long memorable list of some of the best matches ever witnessed in the province against the likes of the best former WWE and TNA stars to come through CWE, Ring of Honor stars, and the best independent competitors from across North America and Japan.

Now the rest of the world will get the opportunity to see what all of Western Canada has known for nearly a decade, that AJ Sanchez is the real deal!

8/30- Aug 29th CWE Results.

Canadian Wrestling’s Elite returned to the Northern Hotel in Winnipeg for a show in front of of the most loud and lively crowds in all of Canada. Here is what went down last night!

1) “The Rebel” Bobby Collins pinned JJ Sanchez not once but three times. Prior to the match JJ explained that since his undefeated streak came to an end and Rick Matthews’ walked out on his life people have been doubting him and calling him a loser. After being defeated by Collins once he bagged for a second chance and assured Collins and the fans it was a fluke and that it wouldn’t happen twice. Collins accepted and then score a second pinfall on JJ. A distraught JJ said the third time would be the charm and begged for a third chance. Collins accepted and beat him for a third and final time.

2) Kat Von Heez pinned Lizzy Slade in women’s action.

3) Cory Diamond was victorious over Samuel.

4) In a shocking development MENTALLO defeated CNWA Provincial Champion Anderson Tyson Moore to be become the new CNWA Provincial Champion. ATM boasted about how it was the year of ATM and no one could slow him down as he’s proven time and time again he was the best in Canada and to prove it he would put his title on the line and defeat who ever wanted to step up to the plate. To everyone’s surprise Mentallo accepted the challenge and explained that it has been the year of Mentallo every year since 1997 and although some have doubted his abilities as of late due to his tag team partner racking up losses he was still the best in the country and would prove it by winning the championship in which he did.

5) CWE Tag Team Champions The Big Sexy Beasts beat the Sons of Anarchy by DQ when the third member Billy Blaze hit the ring and assisted in yet another brutal and violent beat down on the BSB leaving them laying and unable to stand for now the second time.

6) There was no conclusion to the Bar Room Brawl between CWE Champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan and “Bring the Pain” Matt Fairlane. Fairlane originally was scheduled to wrestle Darren “The Bomb” Dalton who backed out of the match leaving Fairlane needing an opponent. Duggan answered the challenge saying management has refused to let them fight but it was a little late in the evening and he just saw management leave for the night so there was no one there to stop them. The two men brawled around the Northern Hotel in a back and fourth battle. Things then got out of hand when Fairlane broke a beer bottle with an intent to stab Duggan. This led to referee Kenny Rogers trying to intervene and being knocked out as a result. Northern Hotel security staff tried to stop Fairlane which resulted in them being knocked out and one given a piledriver. The locker room emptied one by one to only be knocked to the ground and out by Fairlane who then turned around into a Rock Bottom from Duggan on the championship belt. With no one left standing in the ring or locker room to finish the match Duggan told Fairlane on September 28th one way or another there will be a winner.
