On Friday: King of Trios Begins!
KOT 2012 weekend is almost here!
This Friday, the biggest tournament in all of professional wrestling arrives, and Easton, PA will never be the same! The Palmer Center on Green Pond Road plays host to 3 straight days of the most-anticipated, most-beloved, most fun event on our calendar! The Night 1 card is below:
They are three of the most dangerous men in the world. And they are taking on three of the most despicable men in the world. The brash, cocky trio representing Ring of Honor will have all they can handle on September 14th when they slide into the ring against The Faces of Pain!
Three all-time faves from the World Wrestling Federation will team up to tackle three men that represent the very best of Extreme Championship Wrestling on Night 1 of King of Trios! And with the incomparable Jerry Lynn on his retirement tour, will this mark his very last meeting with the former “Lightning Kid?”
CHIKARA’s Director of Fun, Wink Vavasseur, raised some eyebrows by entering The Submission Squad into King of Trios 2012 as the tournament’s first ever “Quatro.” The Submission Squad faces a monumental challenge in the first-round against the devious UltraMantis Black, Frightmare, and Hallowicked (The Spectral Envoy)!
Japan’s most sensational athletes, from the JWP organization, are set to lock up with the multiple-sport athletes known as The Throwbacks! Can the newly-crowned Young Lions Cup champion, the brash Mark Angelosetti, lead his trio past the threesome of joshi superstars?
Chuck Taylor, Johnny Gargano, and Icarus (F.I.S.T.) match up against Kikutaro, Ebessan, and Takoyakida (Team Osaka Pro) but only one can advance to the quarter-finals!
Wink Vavasseur’s realigned version of “The Colony” are set to face off against a dynamic trio of joshi stars as the Sendai Girls look to stake their claim at immortality!
Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw and Manami Toyota will compete against combatANT, deviANT and Soldier Ant (The Swarm) at King of Trios! Tension will be high when Quackenbush and Jigsaw meet two of their hated rivals during the biggest tournament of the year. Will Quack, the patriarch of CHIKARA, lose his cool once again at the expense of GEKIDO?
The unlikely trio of 3.0 and Gran Akuma will have their work cut out for them against the spooky threesome of The Batiri, who have been looking unstoppable of late in trios action! They collide on Night 1!

SAT 15 SEPTEMBER
Live pro-wrestling returns to Parramatta RSL on Saturday 15 September, as the men and women of the Australasian Wrestling Federation do battle in a huge 2 hour pro-wrestling extravaganza featuring some of the top wrestlers in Australia.
This will be the third Parramatta RSL event of 2012, and the AWF is excited to be back again, as each event this year has built up a great following as a result of the excellent in ring action, storyline twists and surprises at the events. AWF is hoping to attract its biggest attendance yet at the venue for the event.
A huge night of action is planned including a big main event featuring two of Australia’s best wrestlers, as head of “The Detonation Crew” TNT, battles with the super human wrestling machine that is Blakestone. TNT says he is ready for anything, and is training harder than ever for this massive encounter with the physically imposing Blakestone.
In other exciting bouts on this massive night of wrestling action, attendees will witness new Young Lion’s under 25’s champion Magnum Holmes make his first title defence, taking on number one contender from country Victoria, Shane Saw. In AWF Women’s action the wild girl of Western Sydney Charlene West-Dee returns from Japan to face the Detonation Crew’s red hot Rachel Rose. New AWF Tag Team Champions Draven and Apollo will defend their titles against former short lived champions Elite Wrestling. The recently reformed Blakestone will battle the nefarious Traffic, with partners in crime Massive Q and the saucy Selene in tow. The Future Is Now will face rivals the Multicultural Society in a tag team war, plus there will be surprise appearances from the likes of Jack Tasman, Jack McMack and many more personalities from the AWF rosters.
The night promises to be a memorable AWF event, so be sure to book early and be on hand for this excellent all ages evening of live wrestling entertainment.

Suitable for Male & Female aspiring Wrestlers, Managers and Referees aged 16 and over
AWF School of Pro-Wrestling will be running training courses in September and October. Come and join as a beginner, or complete your training. Head Teacher will be TNT.
Training dates are as follows:
Beginners: Sat 22 – Wed 26 September – 9am – 3pm daily – $400
Intermediate: Sat 29 Sept – Wed 3 October – 9am – 3pm daily – $400
Competent: Sat 6 October – Wed 10 October – 9am – 3pm daily – $400
Training will take place in Shalvey, NSW
