– We want to thank all of the great fans who joined us last Saturday in Mississauga, ON and on iPPV! “Glory by Honor XI” was a huge success and has the wrestling world buzzing! This blockbuster event has everything you could want as a wrestling fan including 2 Match Of The Year Contenders!
– Coming off an epic “Glory by Honor XI” in Canada, Ring of Honor is excited to announce that on Saturday May 4, 2013 we will return to Toronto & The Ted Reeve Arena! Tickets go on-sale this Wednesday, October 17th at 10AM, to all Ringside Members and on Friday October 19 to the General Public. You should know by now that when ROH hits Canada we hit it hard!
– “No Fear” Mike Mondo suffered a very serious ankle injury during the course of his match with Mike Bennett last Saturday. Early reports are that Mondo will be out of action for one year. Mondo broke his ankle early in the bout, however he continued the match and even climbed the entranceway and dove off onto Bennett in a must-see moment! Mondo continuously proves that he has one of the strongest fighting spirits in all of wrestling. You cannot deny the effort in everything Mondo does and gives to the fans each time he has a match in ROH. Mondo is a true warrior and we love him and hope recovers soon. We will have an update on Mondo’s condition as soon as we get more information.
– The House of Truth is crumbling before our eyes. Roderick Strong apparently quit the HoT last Saturday before his scheduled match with Tadarius Thomas and Strong walked out on Truth Martini. Truth, in a panic, then brought out Rhino (who Truth allegedly hired for the night to help Elgin in his match with Steen) to face Thomas. Tadarius was able to get the biggest win of his career by upsetting Rhino after Truth tried a little too hard to help his mercenary. After the bout, Rhino grabbed Truth Martini and press slammed him over the top rope to the floor against the guardrails. Martini’s pants were ruined and he was scarred up pretty bad following the collision into the guardrail. It will be very interesting to see what happens to the House of Truth going forward.
– Even though “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin was unsuccessful last Saturday, he proved to the world that he is one of the strongest men alive and a future champion.
– Our final TV Taping of the 2012 on Saturday, November 3rd in Pittsburgh is expected to be stacked! All of the ROH Championships will be on the line plus Davey Richards faces Michael Elgin in their highly anticipated rematch and Kyle “O’Reilly challenges Adam Cole for the ROH TV title! Tickets for our November 3rd return to the Pittsburgh area are available right in the ROH Store!
– Speaking of our final TV Taping of 2012, MsChif has signed to compete in a special Women of Honor match!
– Ring of Honor returns to New York City on Sunday December 16th for year-end spectacular “Final Battle 2012”! This is our biggest event of the year and one worth traveling from around the globe to see live and in person! It’s a special afternoon event and it will air LIVE on iPPV from The Hammerstein Ballroom in The Manhattan Center! All tickets are available in the ROH Store.
– This week’s “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV is now available to Ringside Members. It features the ROH World Champion Kevin Steen defending against Rhett Titus in a huge main event championship bout! In addition, the “Survival of the Fittest 2012” tournament continues as Davey Richards returns to ROH TV facing “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett and Jay Lethal battles “God’s Gift” QT Marshall in first round matches. – On Saturday January 19th we will also be returning to the site of “Brew City Beatdown” earlier this year, The Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI! Tickets go on-sale this Wednesday, October 17th at 10AM, to all Ringside Members and on Friday October 19 to the General Public.
– The Ring Of Honor Dojo, under head trainer DELIRIOUS, will be starting new classes during THIS Monday, October 22nd, 2012. Located in Bristol, PA (close to both I-95 and the PA turnpike), only 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia, the school has been in operation since 2004, and is a facility that includes a full size 18 foot ring, weight lifting equipment, as well as an extensive video library, and other numerous resources at your disposal. For more information e-mail rohdojo@gmail.com. For those of you interested, but who can’t make the October sessions, expect a new class to start around 4 months after this.
– The next Ring of Honor 2-Day Seminar/Try-Out is scheduled to take place on December 8th and 9th in Bristol, PA. Countless wrestlers who have attended our camps have appeared on ROH live events as well as television and iPPV.
October 18th
– People are still talking about “Glory by Honor XI” and the replay buys keep coming in! We want to thank everyone for their support and making “Glory by Honor XI” a giant success! The matches and events from last Saturday will be remembered for a very long time and we promise to ride this wave of momentum and make the rest of 2012 spectacular. We also appreciate all of the fans who have stuck with us as we ironed out our technical issues and we will continue to do everything in our power to give fans the best experience possible.
– We all know by now what was in the box presented to ROH World Champion Kevin Steen after his unbelievable title defense against Michael Elgin at “Glory by Honor XI”. To the shock of everyone, Steen pulled out the mask of his arch rival El Generico! After the iPPV went off of the air, Steen proceeded to freak out and smash the ROH World Title belt repeatedly against the steel entrance ramp. Fortunately the belt is still in one piece however the same cannot be said about Steen who has slipped into a deeper madness. It will be interesting to see where this goes but it seems that the inevitable battle is pending once again!
– Tickets are already flying for Ring of Honor’s return to Canada on Saturday May 4, 2013 at The Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto and tickets are not even on sale to the general public yet! – Speaking of Mike Mondo, here is an update on his condition from the man himself.
– The latest DVD release to hit the ROH Store is Ring of Honor “Year Two”. ROH began in 2003 by entering into new territory and ended it with some of the best wrestlers from Japan gracing the ring, and in-between firmly established ROH as the premier wrestling company on the planet. This was the year Samoa Joe made the ROH World Title, the year CM Punk broke through, the year AJ Styles excelled, and the year Paul London bid farewell to Ring of Honor. It was the year that Jay & Mark Briscoe began their dominance of tag team wrestling and the year that the Scramble Cage debuted. These 18 matches, many of which have been unavailable for many years, are just a glimpse at the amazing year that 2003 was for Ring of Honor Wrestling.
– Jim Cornette is still recovering from the incident at “Killer Instinct” and he is not expected to be traveling anytime soon. We will have to wait and see how this plays out at our TV Taping on Saturday, November 3rd in Pittsburgh as Cornette has never missed a TV Taping. Cornette is responsible for not only match making and production but he is a well respected authority figure that keeps things from turning into complete chaos backstage and on the air. Tickets for our November 3rd return to the Pittsburgh area are available right in the ROH Store!
– Speaking of November 3rd in Pittsburgh, ROH Officials have signed Roderick Strong vs. Tadarius Thomas for our final TV Taping of 2012. This match was suppose to happen at “Glory by Honor XI” but Strong walked out before the match and quit The House of Truth. ROH Officials have informed Strong that if he does not compete against Thomas on November 3rd then he will be fined and suspended from ROH competition for the rest of the year.
– “Final Battle 2012” is our biggest event of the year and takes place on Sunday December 16th from from The Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC! This special afternoon event will air LIVE on iPPV and contain the best that we can possibly offer. “Final Battle 2012” will definitely be a history making event for the ages!
