“The safety and well-being of our fighting athletes is of paramount importance to the National Wrestling Alliance™. No wrestling organization can thrive when the level of violence goes entirely past the accepted rule of sport, and we as a sanctioning body cannot willingly sanction a contest that is sure to push those levels past a point of no return.
As a result, due to the excessive and progressively violent nature of the ‘Seven Levels of Hate’ series between Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana, in particular the Stage Six match in Salem, Oregon which saw Pearce set Colt Cabana on fire, the National Wrestling Alliance™ Board of Governors simply has no choice other than to withdraw the NWA’s™ sanctioning from the Stage Seven steel cage match taking place on October 27 in Australia.
Settling scores and decisively ending vendettas are important in professional wrestling and quite apart from a title defense. Wrestler safety and health is far more important.”

We are just SEVEN DAYS AWAY from the return of SHIMMER – WOMEN ATHLETES to the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL, just outside Chicago.
The SHIMMER Championship picture heading into next weekend’s events is becoming clear. Last night (Friday, October 19th), SHIMMER Champion SWEET SARAYA KNIGHT defended the title against JAZZ in the main event of the SHINE 4 iPPV. Saraya retained the championship in that match, with a bit of assistance from Jazz’s SHINE rival MERCEDES MARTINEZ. Visit http://www.wwnlive.com/ to view the event on demand.
Next on Saraya’s agenda is former SHIMMER Champion “Your Soul’s Tormentor” MsCHIF, who will challenge for the title at this coming Friday’s AAW event in Berwyn. MsChif holds the record for having both the longest SHIMMER title reign thus far, as well as the most successful title defenses. MsChif looks to become a two time SHIMMER Champion next Friday. It was announced during the SHINE iPPV that “The Wrestling Goddess” ATHENA will receive the first title shot next Saturday, against whomever the champion is after the AAW event. Athena has become one of the most popular athletes on the SHIMMER roster due to her exciting repertoire. On the heels of handing Martinez a loss, as well as coming out with the victory against joshi high flyer RAY at the last set of SHIMMER tapings, Athena has great momentum heading into her championship opportunity next Saturday.
Sweet Saraya has a lot more to be concerned about than just MsChif and Athena next weekend. Former SHIMMER Champion CHEERLEADER MELISSA has made it clear that she is intent on getting some revenge for Saraya’s pre-match locker room attack which eventually led to her loss of the title. Whether the SHIMMER Championship is involved or not, there is some serious unfinished business between Saraya and Melissa to be settled next weekend in Berwyn.

Bell time on Saturday, October 27th is 2pm. SPARKLE pre-show bouts begin at 1:30pm. Volumes 49 & 50 of the SHIMMER series will be filmed on Saturday. Bell time on Sunday, October 28th is 1pm. SPARKLE pre-show bouts begin at 12:30pm. Volumes 51 & 52 of the SHIMMER series will be filmed on Sunday. The events are suitable for all ages.
Front row seating is already sold out for the entire weekend. General admission tickets are still available, at a cost of $30 per full day of taping (two full length DVDs per day, so essentially $15 per DVD worth of live matches). More names will be revealed during the remaining days leading up to the events. Over 30 of the top female wrestlers from around the world will be a part of the festivities!
The after party each night that weekend will be at Paisans Pizzeria & Bar, 6226 W. Ogden Ave. in Berwyn, just over one mile from the Eagles Club.
