The NWA announced today that they would be crowning a new World Heavyweight Champion Friday night in Clayton, NJ after the belt was vacated in October by Adam Pearce. 8 wrestlers will compete in a Tournament to crown the new champion. The participants are below:

– Damien Wayne

Dragon Gate USA announced today that they will be offering free tickets to the 11/03 Voorhees, NJ event to anyone living in Cape May, Wildwood, or Somers Point, NJ (all hit hard by Hurricane Sandy). All you have to do is show your drivers license at the door proving you’re from that area to get in free.

Earlier today Shane Douglas’ Extreme Rising revealed that the new Hijo de Rey Misterio would be debuting with the promotion on the 12/29 event in Philadelphia, PA. Hijo de Rey Misterio is actually the 2nd wrestler to work under the name and is not actually Rey Misterio Sr.’s son (while the bigger original Hijo de Rey Misterio is), but he an extremely talented, fast high flyer much more in the mold of Rey Misterio Jr. than the original Hijo de Rey Misterio was. Before Rey Misterio Sr. put him under the Misterio mask he worked under the “Horus” name.
