From the Office of NWA President R. Bruce Tharpe – For Immediate Release
After reviewing all worthy contenders to the NWA National Heavyweight Championship (which is currently vacant) it has been decided that a match will be held to crown a new NWA National Champion on January 5, 2013 at NWA E.D.G.E. in Nashville, North Carolina between the three top contenders to the belt.
Damien Wayne, Chance Prophet and “the Canadian Lion” Lance Erikson have been signed to compete in a three-way match on January 5, 2013 – the winner to be declared the new NWA National Heavyweight Champion. All three of these men have established themselves as worthy contenders and are longtime NWA loyalists. Truly – this is a match in which any of these competitors could emerge as champion. We wish all of the contenders good luck and look forward with anticipation to the outcome!

Sat, Dec 1, 2012 will go down in history in ECWA as Black Saturday II !
The night ended in total chaos as Apollyon, Rex Lawless, Matt Saigon and the returning MONSTER AHTU all joined Josh Daniels and Breaker Morant in Blackheart, led by Joel Blackhart.
During the course of this fray, long time tag team partner in FUSION DS, Matt Saigon , turned on Damian Dragon. Even more surprising, former ECWA, Mid-Atlantic and Super 8 Champion “Greek God” Papadon refused to join Blackheart and was left laying.

Michael Elgin and Vordell Walker join Damian Dragon, ECWA Champion Chris Wylde and Mike Mondo in this year’s Super 8 (Apr 13 in Newark, Delaware)!
“Unbreakable” Michael Elgin is the 4th competitor to be entered into the 17th Annual ECWA Super 8 Tournament on Sat, Apr 13, 2013 in Newark, Delaware!
Elgin, who began his career in 2004 at 16 years old, is a young vet of the indie scene already. He started out in his native Canada and was trained by fellow Canadian star and 2005 Super 8 competitor Tyson Dux.
Elgin currently appears in PWG and is a member of the ROH roster where he has had many great matches, most recently w/ Adam Cole (2011 ECWA Finalist), Davey Richards (2006 Super 8 winner) and current ROH Champion Kevin Steen.

The 5th competitor in the 17th Annual ECWA Super 8 Tournament is Vordell Walker!!! Walker hails from Savannah, Georgia, and is an 11 year veteran of the sport. He has competed in TNA, ROH, SAW FIP, PWX and NWA among others. He has wins over the current ROH and CZW Champions and made it to the finals of the 2011 Shamrock Cup. Take a look at some highlights of what Vordell is capable of in the ring, including clips of him versus current WWE Champion CM Punk in his earlier years!!!
