BREAKING NEWS: British Wrestling Legend added to Power Trip Wrestling, ‘First Time, Last Time, Only Time’, Saturday 28th November 2009, Luton.
Here at Power Trip Wrestling, we have always had a proud association with one of the most legendary figures that British Wrestling has to offer.
In 2007, PTW Owner Petey Staniforth presented him with an award acknowledging his then thirty years in the wrestling business.
In 2008, PTW were proud to host his final match in the Bedfordshire area.
And in 2009, ‘The First Lady of PTW’ Chrissie said she had a huge surprise and stipulation up her sleeve, and she certainly did. To make sure law and order is kept and the rules are adhered to as much as possible, she has contacted him to be something we have never had before – Special Referee for the evening.
We’re talking, as you’ve probably guessed by now, about the biggest professional wrestling star that Bedfordshire has ever produced, our very own legend; Johnny Kidd.
And whilst there’s a lot to speculate about his influence on the evening as an impartial and unbiased referee, there’s one huge twist now to the ‘First Time, Last Time, Only Time’ match up of PTW Promoter Petey Staniforth vs ‘100 Percent’ Dan Edge. Petey has never made any secret that Johnny Kidd is quite simply, his hero. But there’s no way that Johnny will allow Petey’s well known cheating and underhanded behaviour to happen…..something has to give now!
Quite simply, Power Trip Wrestling’s final show of 2009 just got a whole lot bigger. And that’s why, despite the other shows in the area trying to ride our coat tails and our national television exposure and spending most of this year trying to get our shows cancelled; we are Power Trip Wrestling – “The Promotion The Competition Doesn’t Want You To See!”.
