WXW C4 Presents SPORTSFEST 2009: Red, White, And BRUISED This Sunday, July 19th at 3pm at Cedar Beach in Allentown, PA!

07/12/09 – WXW C4.com has learned that a number of matches for Sportsfest has been announced from the office of Commissioner Maven Bently. At this admission free event, for the first time ever, and in his first defense, “The Hollywood Bad Boy” Eric Cobian with his manager Doc Daniels will put the Ultimate World Title on the line against “The King Of Old School” Steve Corino! Who will come out of the biggest event of the year as the champion?

Making his Sportsfest return is former WWE Superstar D’Lo Brown to take on another former WWE Star Manu, aka Afa Jr. These two men have wrestled eachother a number of times and now they bring their long standing feud to Sportsfest. This is the first time either of these men have particpated at Sportsfest under the C4 banner, but neither are unfamiliar with Cedar Beach. Afa Jr wants a future shot at the World Championship and a win at Sportsfest could help make that happen. And, one can only assume that D’Lo wants that Sportsfest win that alluded him over 10 years ago. Who will walk out with the coveted win?

The Elite Tag Team Championships are on the line when former multiple WXW Tag Team Champions The Untouchables get their first shot at the championships that are around the waist of the unlikely duo of Billy Dream and Dynasty member John Bane. Bane and Dream were forced to team with eachother after each grabbed the burlap sack that held their tag team titles at Go For The Gold, and Dream isn’t too pleased with the actions of his parter. The last time these two were in the ring together Dream refused to participate in the underhanded tactics that Bane and his manager Doc Daniels live by. Will these two be able to coexist at Sportsfest or will the cohesivness of the Untouchables prove to be too much for the champions to handle?

At Sportsfest a Ultimate Hybrid Champion will finally be crowned. After a controversial ending for VSK and Sean Maluta in the Go For The Gold match, and then a week later on Blast TV, both these men will get another shot to become the Hybrid Champion in a match that will ensure a winner: 2 out of 3 falls. Maluta is a former Hybrid Champion and grew up at Sportsfest. What better way to walk out of Sportsfest then with his biggest win and the Hybrid championship around his waist. However, VSK made a fast rise to the top in C4, earning a spot in the Go For The Gold Match and coming as close as anyone could get to the Hybrid Championship without winning it. Will VSK walk out of his first Sportsfest a champion or will Sean Maluta walk out of “his” event with “his” belt?

Plus, a new #1 Contender will be crowned when the WXW C4 roster battles it out in the ring in a Battle Royal! The winner will earn a shot at the Ultimate World Championship at a future event of his choosing. And, making her long awaited return to WXW C4 the Latina Sensation, Mercedes Martinez! Also scheduled to appear: The Great Samu, Tommy Suede, DJ Hyde, Sabian, Rob Dimension, Brooker CarterAC Sledge, Havoc, Danny Demanto and many more! Be sure to be there live in less then one week at Cedar Beach in Allentown, PA at 3pm! And, best of all, ADMISSION IS FREE!!
