According to the “Tokyo Sports” newspaper, All Japan legend and Pro Wrestling NOAH talent AKIRA TAUE will be named the new President of Pro Wrestling NOAH at a Press Conference on July 5th.

According to their sources, Misawa had requested that Taue be named President should anything happen to him. At a meeting on Tuesday, top NOAH officials met on a variety of topics, including the successor to Misawa. Taue’s name was mentioned very early on and reports say he has accepted the position, however the company will not be announcing it until Misawa’s ‘public’ funeral has been had on July 4th at the Tokyo Differ Ariake. The press conference has been scheduled for the following day.
