Will Ospreay and Cody Rhodes sustain injuries at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Sakuru Genesis

IWGP Jr. Champion Will Ospreay and Cody Rhodes both sustained injuries during this past Sunday’s New Japan Sakuru Genesis iPPV at Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Ospreay injured his neck during his IWGP Jr. Title Match against Marty Scurll when Ospreay landed on his head on the apron while attempting a Spanish Fly off the apron to the floor.

Ospreay commented on the injury later on Sunday, noting that it is up in the air if he will be able to make his commitments during Wrestlemania 34 weekend next week in New Orleans, where Ospreay is scheduled to wrestle for EVOLVE and CZW, among others.

Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes sustained a nasty cut above his eye during his tag-team match on the show, where Cody and Hangman Page defeated Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi.

Cody is scheduled to wrestle Kenny Omega in the main event of this Saturday’s ROH Supercard of Honor XII event in New Orleans.

Wrestleview.com wishes both men a quick and painless recovery.
