Current 2018 NJPW G-1 Climax standings heading into final week of shows

NJPW G-1 Climax

After 15 days of the 2018 NJPW G-1 Climax round-robin tournament, the following is where the standings sit heading into the final four shows, beginning with Wednesday in Kamagawa, followed by three final shows this weekend at the Budokan Hall.

A Block:
Hiroshi Tanahashi (7-1) 14 points
Kazuchika Okada (6-2) 12 points
Jay White (6-2) 12 points
Minoru Suzuki (4-4) 8 points
EVIL (4-4) 8 points
Michael Elgin (3-5) 6 points
Bad Luck Fale (3-5) 6 points
Hangman Page (3-5) 6 points
Togi Makabe (2-6) 4 points
YOSHI-HASHI (2-6) 4 points

B Block:
Kenny Omega (6-1) 12 points
Tetsuya Naito (5-2) 10 points
Kota Ibushi (5-2) 10 points
Zack Sabre Jr. (4-3) 8 points
SANADA (4-3) 8 Points
Hirooki Goto (3-4) 6 points
Tomohiro Ishii (3-4) 6 points
Juice Robinson (2-5) 4 points
Tama Tonga (2-5) 4 points
Toru Yano (1-6) 2 points

In A Block, still in contention are Tanahashi, Okada and White.

If Tanahashi beats Okada on Friday, he wins the block.

Okada wins the block with a win over Tanahashi and a White loss to EVIL.

White wins the block with a win over EVIL AND an Okada win over Tanahashi, as he would hold the tiebreakers over both Okada and Tanahashi with wins over them in the tournament.

In B Block, still in contention are Omega, Ibushi and Naito.

If Omega wins out, he wins the block and becomes the first person to go to three straight G-1 Finals.

Ibushi can win the block by winning his next two matches as he would have the tiebreaker over Omega and Naito.

Naito needs a lot to win the block. He first needs Omega to lose to Yano on Wednesday, then he has to win out over ZSJ and SANADA. Finally, Naito would need the Omega/Ibushi match on Saturday to go to a time-limit draw, thus putting himself at 14 points and Omega at 13 points to win the block as a tie would go to Omega as he beat Naito previously in the tournament.
