Current standings for the 2016 New Japan Best of the Super Juniors tournament heading into the home stretch next week, Tanahashi pulled from Dominion iPPV due to injury

New Japan finished up the 11th day of the 2016 Best of the Super Juniors tournament on Friday and the following are the current standings in the A Block and B Block heading into the final 3 shows of the tournament early next week:

A Block
* Ryusuke Taguchi – 8 points (4-2)
* KUSHIDA – 8 points (4-2)
* Matt Sydal – 8 points (4-2)
* Kyle O’Reilly – 6 points (3-3)
* Rocky Romero – 6 points (3-3)

B Block
* Ricochet – 8 points (4-1)
* Volador Jr. – 6 points (3-2)

It was also announced at the show on Friday that Hiroshi Tanahashi is off the Dominion iPPV on June 19 in Osaka, where Tanahashi was supposed to challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP Intercontinental Title in a Ladder Match. Tanahashi is off the show due to a shoulder injury sustained last month. New Japan ran an angle where Michael Elgin challenged Omega after a match both were involved in to replace Tanahashi in the Ladder Match at Dominion.
