SMACKDOWN SPOILERS

Rob Van Dam beat William Regal in a non-title match with a frog splash in less than 2 minutes. Afterwards, Edge came out of the crowd, attacked Regal, and disappeared back into the crowd. (Commentary: Of course this was a non-title match.....never in the history of the WWF has a singles title changed hands in the state of South Carolina. The Tag Team Championships changed hands twice in our state, but don’t we deserve at least a little better than that?)

Vince came on screen and talked about having no alternative to what he had to do. He will regret it, but he will do it tonight.

Rikishi beat Bossman with a Banzai Drop. Jackie was the referee.

Stephanie splashed coffee all over Lilian Garcia backstage because Lilian asked her about her problems with HHH.

Tazz and Spike beat Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert to retain the tag team championship when Tazz locked Scotty in the Tazzmission.

Backstage, HHH and Stephanie argued because Steph thought HHH did not appreciate all she had done for him. HHH said that Vince never thought he was good enough for Steph, to which Steph replies that maybe Vince was right. HHH says “Well maybe everyone else was right about you.” Huge crowd pop.

Jonathan Coachman interviewed the Rock. Rock made Coach dance the Charleston, and called him a sick freak. Rock said Jericho is still the undisputed champion, and is also still the biggest monkey’s anus walking God’s green earth. Rock says he will beat Kurt Angle tonight. (The winner of Rock vs. Angle and the winner of Stone Cold vs. Booker T will face each other on RAW for a title shot at No Way Out.)

Vince cuts another promo and says that the WWF has terminal cancer because of Ric Flair. Vince says the WWF will slowly die.

Qualifying #1 Contender’s Match - Stone Cold vs. Booker T Booker T goes for a Stunner, Austin reverses it and hits a stunner of his own, Austin wins.

Sharmell Sullivan interviews Ric Flair. Flair says he has no idea what Vince is talking about.

Tables Match - Kane and Big Show vs. Dudley Boys with Stacy Bubba knocks Kane out of the ring through a table to win the match for the Dudleys. Afterwards, Kane and Big Show stare each other down, security runs out, and Kane leaves. Looks like the start of a new feud.

Vince comes on again and says his world is crashing down on him. Someone has given cancer to the WWF. Vince starts to cry and says it’s just too bad.

Goldust cuts a promo and says we will all remember him.

Billy and Chuck decide they need to go after the tag team titles soon. Billy slaps Chuck on the butt.

Coachman interviews Angle. The “Whats” from the crowd make Angle mad, and he leaves.

Trish vs. Jazz - Trish is pinned but Jazz is disqualified for having her feet on the ropes. Jazz destroys Trish after the match and leaves her lying there in the ring.

Vince yet again. He says not to try to talk him out of this. It must be done. It is time to feel good.

Jericho comes down and joins the announce booth for the main event.

Main Event: Kurt Angle vs. The Rock. Angle gets the Rock in the ankle lock, Rock reached the ropes. Rock pulls Jericho out from behind the announce table, knocks him onto the table, and rams Angle’s head into Jericho’s crotch. Rock gets Angle in a sharpshooter inside the ring but Jericho pulls the ref out and Angle taps. Jericho argues with the ref while the Undertaker comes to the ring and chokeslams the Rock. Undertaker leaves and Angle pins the Rock to win.

Coming up on RAW: Stone Cold vs. Angle for the #1 contendership at No Way Out.

Vince comes on to end of the show by saying that he will not allow the WWF to slowly die under Ric Flair’s leadership. He created the WWF, so he will kill it. The camera moves over and reveals what Vince calls his poison - the black and white letters of the NWO!
