wXw DVD January 10, 2009 “Back 2 the Roots VIII” – Oberhausen, Germany
This is a nice all European show without any talent from America or Japan. Still it happens to be one of the nicer events in quite some time which got really good reviews from the German fans.
The main event has been built up for years with this being the big match between the guy who won the world title at the last 16 Carat, Steve Douglas, and the man who took the whole tournament, Bad Bones. This is a heated and super-intense match with stiff strikes and insane bumps between two guys who have been feuding forever.
Also, the show has two fun tag matches in Kartel vs Crimson City Saga and Revolution Purple vs The Thrillers which absolutely show the state of the art in European tag team wrestling.

This is wXws 8th birthday show at the Saint in Oberhausen and also the end of the year 2008. The main event features Bad Bones and Claudio Castagnoli for the vacant wXw World Heavyweight championship in an excellent heavyweight encounter.
Also, the two other wXw belts are defended. Doug Williams and Martin Stone are putting the tag straps on the line against the outside duo of Crazy Sexy Mike & Ahmed Chaer who have been dominating tag team divisions in Germany and France. Emil Sitoci caps of his feud with Marc Roudin for the lightweight belt.
Also on the card there is the super-over match between Bryan Danielson and Absolute Andy which features an AMAZING face versus heel dynamic with Danielson hitting the over the shoulder armbreaker about 25 times in a row.
