Chris Jericho on why he won’t wrestle in the United States for New Japan or All In this September

Inside the Ropes is featuring an interview with Chris Jericho where he talks in detail about why he has no interest in wrestling in the United States for New Japan or All In.

Jericho reveals that he got asked to wrestle at both New Japan Pro Wrestling events in Long Beach and San Francisco and he turned them both down. He also noted he got invited to wrestle at the upcoming All In event in Chicago and he said no.

“I don’t want to do that. You should see how many indy promoters have contacted me over the last six months. This is a calculated, big money proposition. Big money for me. Big money for the company, with what we are doing. I’m not going to work anywhere else unless you want to pay six-f*cking-figures. I’m not bragging, but this is where we are at. This is Mayweather-McGregor type shit for me. I’m not saying I’m making 55 million dollars like those guys did. But for what I’m doing, it’s the most financial…it’s the most I’ve made for the least amount of matches in my entire career.”

Jericho did say that if he had a falling out with Vince McMahon and WWE, he would entertain the idea of wrestling in the US.
