New Japan G-1 Special airs tonight at 8:00 PM ET on AXS TV live from the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California. Commentary will be done by NJPW on AXS TV team of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and former UFC fighter Josh Barnett.

New Japan released the following pre-match comments from the performers in the top matches during their press conference held on Friday.
One thing of note is that Cody has gone back to his dark hair, revealing during the press conference that it is for an acting gig he is taking that prevented him from being in this year’s G-1 Climax tournament.
