Dana White confirms Brock Lesnar has re-entered USADA testing pool to make UFC return

UFC President Dana White confirmed shortly after UFC 226 on Saturday night that current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has officially re-entered the USADA testing pool.

White stated this is something that just went down in the last week and that he will be undergoing testing for the next six months, clearing a path for Lesnar to make a return to the octagon some time in late December 2018/January 2019.

The testing is said to be taking place quietly and not public as part of the USADA Athlete Test History database that can be accessed online. Lesnar failed both an out-of-competition and in-competition drug test with USADA back in 2016 after his return at UFC 200.

It was later revealed that despite WWE’s ongoing Wellness Test Policy for all contracted performers, Lesnar was not going to be punished for failing the USADA test because he was deemed a “part-time performer” based on his WWE contract.

It was also confirmed by White that Lesnar will indeed be receiving a shot at the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Daniel Cormier, who knocked out former champion Stipe Miocic on Saturday night at UFC 226 to become a two division champion (Cormier is the current reigning and defending UFC Light Heavyweight Champion).
