Here are some highlights of Christy’s interview on the show, provided by The Mayhem’s host, John “The Big Mosh” Masiulionis:

Christy was welcomed back to the program by Mosh, Blade, DFL, & The Mayhem’s National TNA PPV Correspondent, “Wild” Bill Brown, for her third-ever MNM appearance. After some reminiscing on a long-standing relationship with “Your Home Of Wrestling Radio” (one that goes back to the Diva Search days of 2004), the crew started at the top…the forefrront…and the onset…

Mosh asked Christy about the celebration of her third-year anniversary with TNA this year, something which Christy said she is very proud of. She feels that the majority of her actual wrestling career has been there, because her time with the WWE was “a flash in the pan.” Christy added that she still feels new to the business, but that it is hard to believe she is on the verge of being in the industry for almost five years now…to which Blade added the term of “seasoned grappler.”

This Sunday night will see Christy challenge Awesome Kong for the TNA Knockouts Championship in a Lumberjack Match, which will feature the rest of the TNA Knockouts surrounding the ring. Christy indeed felt it was time to “break away from the boys (The Rock ‘N’ Rave Infection) just because I wanted to do more.” She has always felt that wrestling was her passion & in her heart, so she came to the television tapings early to get in as much training as possible from “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles or whoever was free to teach her/answer any questions she may have had. As far as Kong & Genesis, she said that no matter how much training she has gone through or will go through leading into the PPV this Sunday, it will not prepare her for someone like Kong, who she classifies as “amazing.” Even though she is her opponent on Sunday in Charlotte, she sees this as a learning opportunity to grow from someone who has spent a considerable amount of time in the business. Christy looks forward to the challenge…and getting the chance to become TNA Knockouts Champion.

The Mayhem Crew mentioned the metamorphosis of the Knockouts division over the years & how things have changed since former Knockouts Champion, Gail Kim, left the company to return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Christy classified Gail as “the foundation” of this division,” and that while a part of the company, she was a huge part of making it what became. For close to one year, the Knockouts were centered around Gail vs. Awesome Kong, which was a testament to both of their hard work & dedication to making the Knockouts such a success. Christy embraces the opportunity to fill the void left by Gail’s departure, and also added that this is the time for other members of the division to step up their game as well. She will never forget what Gail did for TNA, and despite her moving on, her respect & love for her will not change.

More is contained in The Mayhem’s TNA Genesis PPV preview (featuring Mosh, Blade, DFL, & “Wild” Bill Brown’s thoughts on this Sunday night’s festivities), plus more from Christy herself — including her thoughts on which TNA wrestlers have helped her the most with the progression of her career, which TNA persona gave her the name for her new finishing maneuver (the “Flying Firecrotch Guillotine”), her recent feud with The Beautiful People, the recent release of Guns ‘N’ Roses “Chinese Democracy,” & what she sees for her post-wrestling ventures.
