Updated: New details on Matt Hardy’s arrest

Update (5:27 p.m. ET):

PWInsider.com is reporting that airport police at Raleigh-Durhan International Airport pulled over Matt Hardy when authority officer Smith-Wynter was concerned the way Hardy was operating his vehicle. Hardy was given a breathalyzer test and passed, blowing a 0.00 on the scene. North Carolina State Trooper Hans Ellefson, a drug recognition expert, was brought in to examine Hardy. Ellefson said that he “conducted a series of tests and determined he (Hardy) was impaired and unable to safely operate a vehicle.” Hardy was then given a blood test. Results were not yet made public.

Ellefson believed that Hardy was “under the control of Central Nervous System depressants,” but plans to await final results before making a final determination. Hardy will head to court on Wake County, NC on 11/30 regarding the DWI charge. He has a court date set for 9/28 in Moore County, NC on DWI charges and another on 10/11 also in Wake County, NC on charges of reckless driving.
